Quoted from PanzerFreak:

I'm not sure what translite looks worse, GOT Pro or ST Pro? Would rather see pro artwork match the premium at least.

Yes I like the Premium translight, but that Pro one is fugly. Look how freaky Eleven looks all lit up in Pink-looks cheesy to me.

#2002 4 years ago

Anyone know who did the audio on this?

Quoted from PanzerFreak:

Really? I think it fits the theme and doesn't look like a photoshop hack job..

Quoted from jonesjb:

What's the deal with the Certificate of Authenticity on the LE's? I don't recall there being any issues with bootleg pinball machines being manufactured.

I've always found these certificates funny because its extremely hard to make a bootleg Pinball machine and very easy to make a fake certificate.

Quoted from mystman12:

Anyone know who did the audio on this?

Additional tracks have been made by Ken Hale (like on JP2).

#2006 4 years ago

Don’t buy the pro for the Translite. Agreed. But I think this game is a winner overall from first impressions. The projector would add a lot however.

#2007 4 years ago

Jack really lights up the games for streaming. I would be interested to learn if there are any changes needed in his setup to better display the projector. If "no" then it's going to be fine in almost any setting.

Not sure, but I’d like to shake their hand.

Happy to be getting back into Pinball and getting a Pro. Absolute fan of the show and very pleased with Stern's offering for this theme.
Also happy with the audio route they have chosen, but I'm sure I'll be adding some 80's music into my game for sure

SUNGLASSES AT NIGHT PLEASE!

Looks like the saucer slams the ball into the bottom of the left ramp on that pro video

SUNGLASSES AT NIGHT PLEASE!

Yes! Let's get a list going.

#2013 4 years ago
Quoted from PunkPin:

Nope. The left saucer fires the ball into the middle drop targets.

Quoted from PunkPin:

It will need tweaking for sure, but if you get it right it fires it around the right inner orbit.

Some of you guys are a bit slow on the uptake

Fan layout? Once you get past that take a peek at the rest of the game and let me know if you’ve seen the LCD projector and the ability to put you into different scenes and modes all over the Playfield on anything else. I didn’t think so.

Oh yeah, you haven’t seen it in full function yet

Maybe a jumbled thrown together mess like Raza is for you

Purple Le looks fantastic. Pukey RM purple is fugly as shit

As usual, we are already playing our Stern games! LOL

Shipping games to the first buyers the same day the game is officially announced is a boss move, no question.

Is a game still considered HUO if it's been in a car with a dog?!

Not including posts where games are being picked up or set up, this is EASILY the best post of the day.

I actually LOL'd.

You know...all the other stuff that makes it way better than that turd Rick and Morty. Hurr durr. Did I tell you how much I hate the purple powder coat on Rick and Morty?! Hurr durr.

Hilton how hard is it to hit the Plant Vagina-ummmm I mean Demogorgan in the hole?

#2025 4 years ago

Just got an email from classic gamerooms, Sterns announcement states this is first of 3 cornerstone games for 2020. I guess they consider this a 2020 release then, kind of a bummer. So TMNT and 1 other

#2026 4 years ago
Quoted from Rarehero:

I love my Dreamcast. But a 20 year old retro gaming experience is a totally different thing than modern pinball display animation.

Ehh, not so sure...Do we really need fully rendered 3d animations on par with something like a Death Stranding? I think JP's animations are great, no problems with them to me.

Good lord...why does every new game thread end up in a pissing match between people who like it, and people who hate it?

#2030 4 years ago

Any topper information by chance? Searched but didn't find anything.

Thanks,
Jeff

#2031 4 years ago

Did they fix the pooling?

#2032 4 years ago

If the Playfield chips, the projector projects the missing parts of the playfield back on when game is running. Pretty cool fix.

Well first you always have the band of Stern haters that can’t wait to shit on anything Stern related. The hate Horde comes running like a siren draws in TWD

Secondly, you have the R&M lookey lous also floating in to take a few dumps

Finally, it’s just pinball. Everybody is entitled to their opinions, It’s what makes the entertainment value so great

I am more concerned with ghosting inserts, etc. With how many inserts are on this game-if they start ghosting or raising Stern will have their hands full.

Holy inserts Batman!

I suggest coming to nerd out in the club thread after the day one hype dies down here.

Who wants to be one of the first to spend $9k on a Stranger Things LE and report if there are any playfield issues?!

How much extra does it cost to cover those RM speaker panels? Woof...

You can butter your way up to over $9k shipped. Lol

Is there a Club Thread yet?

Don't think that's been an issue for awHile?

Quoted from iceman44:

Bean counters are the worst for me.

#2042 4 years ago

I’m excited to play this game on route like all Sterns. You can almost always find the latest Sterns on route. It’s the JJP, American, Spooky, etc that are hard to find. On route you don’t care about quality just that it plays well and Sterns do that for thousands of plays.

My P3 doesn't have a projector but it does those things. It's a great feature that definitely helped me learn how to play the games. I'm curious to see this game in person. Love the theme!

I wouldn’t want to spend $5700 on a pro and be the first to report such defects.

I feel like I missed something here. What does R&M have to do with the Stern BOM on this game?

#2048 4 years ago

Definitely a wait and see Premium in 12 months. Too much of a lottery with code and projector.

Quoted from usandthem:

Why not? Wouldn't bother me....we were all doing it with our pooling JPs
