Reserving judgement until I can see some Premium footage/gameplay. I already have an amazing fan pin.. SW Prem, so the projector utilization is really the make or break for me... Not really feeling this one yet and I love Stranger Things... Hope it shoots well and the code is solid - I'm just worried with so many inserts...

I agree that if I didn't like Stranger Things, this would be a snoozer pass no question. It's the fan of fans.
That theme though! ....and I actually don't have a fan in my collection so it fits really well.
Looks like no pro for me this week btw. Family in town so I'm out until next week at least.
Quoted from luvthatapex2:How does it add up to 50 modes? I see 12 chapters, 5 MB, 3 wizard modes. Maybe levels in the chapters?
Not sure, but it could have 40 or 50 modes and only 12 are selected at random to start each game.
Quoted from gliebig:Needs more vans.
The pro has 5 on the playfield and 4 on each side of the cab for a total of 13, making the van by far the most prominent enemy on the art. Pretty funny.
What's odd is it looks like the Pro has Hopper's Blazer on the right side of the head... if they had the rights to the K5 why wouldn't they replace one of the playfield-vans with it? Good looking game to me either way but I want more Blazer + Pinto, and less vans

Don't worry maybe they will do a van free run down the road like they did with the comic book Star Wars edition.
Stern have good assets for this game compared to many others in the past.
Custom Hooper call outs.
The iconic theme music.
Scenes from series 1 and 2.
This is way better than your average Stern.

LMAO!

Edit: crap someone beat me too it!
Quoted from delt31:I love JP2 - their best but the video assets look PS2 on that as well.
Watch the pro video - you can see some of the custom animation in there -

Is a game still considered HUO if it's been in a car with a dog?!

Clearly... I think we need to start a thread to discuss this... cough cough cough.

Thinking about it...as long as the dog doesn't smoke it's probably OK.
Quoted from CrazyLevi:Is a game still considered HUO if it's been in a car with a dog?!
How about a house with a dog...
Quoted from Multiballmaniac1:On the fence. Shit tspp has more features than the premium.
One of the greatest and most packed games ever is better than this? Well, yeah.
Quoted from delt31:I love JP2 - their best but the video assets look PS2 on that as well.
This is pinball. If you're hung up on graphics go play your PS4.
Kudos to the marketing team. Features videos, interview with designer, high res shots, live game play stream and people picking up the game all on the same day.

Time to repurpose my Batman66 parachute van mod into a Stranger Things ban mod

Just kidding

Evil, gaping ones?

isn't it meant to be like that?
It's too bad it sounds like the only original music being used for the show is the theme, as the band that did the music (SURVIVE) did tons of stuff for the show.
I really wonder how well the projector will work (in lit rooms) and how well the white will hold up to show the images on the ramps.
This theme isn't for me, but I am looking forward to playing it. If I wanted one I'd have to go big with an LE, it just pops much more than the Pro or Premium.

Sorry for sharing something I wasnt sure if people had seen? The theme kills it for me but I was still impressed with how nice it looks.
I wonder if whats projected on the screen is shown on the Back glass at the same time, or even just shown on the Pro Back glass screen?
Quoted from mystman12:Has all the info about who worked on the game been released yet?
Brian Eddy
Lonnie Ropp
Quoted from chuckwurt:Yes. 7 central.
They've got to be showing the Premium so we can see the projection effects... right??
Quoted from Captchaos:Wondering what the projection screen material will look like, over time, after the ball rolls over it for a year or so.?
Not sure but I would guess the white is under the ramps?
Quoted from Russell:One of the greatest and most packed games ever is better than this? Well, yeah.
Maybe I’ll smoke on this one first. Dispensary before stream tonight.
Quoted from flynnibus:Jurassic Park would like a word with you...
JP’s animation looks like Crazy Taxi on Dreamcast.
Quoted from Rando:They've got to be showing the Premium so we can see the projection effects... right??
They’ve shown both the past couple reveals.
Quoted from Rando:They've got to be showing the Premium so we can see the projection effects... right??
i believe i read pro is being streamed.
Quoted from TheFamilyArcade:Any on location in NYC right now?
I would imagine Sunshine Laundry in BK will get one
I think the projector is pretty cool and innovative. If it was up to me I would have kept the projector on the Pro and dropped the LCD. I’m not confident Stern can come up with enough quality content for the projector and LCD. Just seems redundant. I also think the magnet stuff should be on the playfield doesn’t do anything up behind like that. A solid offering by Stern though. I will own this and JP2 one day. Still not risking NIB.
Quoted from iceman44:Projector should make theme immersion awesome as you progress through the game and different modes you are in. Scenes change all over the PF to bring you into the theme throughout. "projector is so cool is doesn't matter when its off". LED projector
It will be interesting to see how much the projector features changes during modes. Stern has typically added minimal code for premium / LE features. If the same rotating arcade sign and "W.I.L.L" images are constantly displayed through the game I can see it getting old quick. Hopefully there's unique projected animations based on mode.
