LCA, one of the worst pins ever. Give me more of that!
Quoted from kermit24:So let me understand this: You want this game to be like Lights, Camera, Action?
No my man. Just making references that people can get a hold of.
This looks really bad and boring....sorry.
Hologram effect looks cheap, screen in the middle is just in the way of everything. Ball lock is on the back now...ok?
I'm just not impressed.
Quoted from pcprogrammer:Time to nail down a good acronym. ST is taken in more ways the one. Maybe SST?
Taken. StarShipTroopers
Quoted from pcprogrammer:Time to nail down a good acronym. ST is taken in more ways the one. Maybe SST?
No. STH. Done.
Quoted from LOTR_breath:LCA, one of the worst pins ever. Give me more of that!
And you own a Hoops? LCA is a fantastic game. But not the point. If you know the machine, you know that a portion of the playfield flips. Seems like a concept that could be re-engineered into something here.
Hope the game has some humor too. The show isn't all doom and gloom. It's pretty damn funny at times too.

Just stop. LCA is one of the worst games ever flipped.

I bet Stern is going to stick with a more serious take on this one, not anticipating humor. We'll see.
Quoted from pcprogrammer:I bet Stern is going to stick with a darker take on this one. We'll see.
That's certainly what it looks like on the trailer. I'm totally happy with that. But if it is humorless and charmless, for that matter, it will be missing out on two things that fans really love about it.
Ho-hum pinball, HHP? Oh wait, that’s taken.
I like NST, it says Netflix almost as big as the main logo right on the backglass.

LCA isn't even a hair on Hoops ass. LOL
Quoted from Rum-Z:Kinda looks like a little drive-in movie theater screen in the middle of the playfield.
Ha! It really does.
Quoted from LOTR_breath:LCA isn't even a hair on Hoops ass. LOL
Is this a leak? Or official launch?
Quoted from Rum-Z:Kinda looks like a little drive-in movie theater screen in the middle of the playfield.
I can’t wait for the creature from the black lagoon re-theme!
Quoted from toasterman04:Is this a leak? Or official launch?
Actually looks like a leak of the official launch trailer. Almost like it was posted to YT as private/not shared then someone made a copy....
Quoted from mbrave77:Been saying this since the beginning! Eggo!
11 would be another option... though i do like the deeper reference of Eggo as well.
Quoted from Palmer:Where is the innovation? I guess the magnetic ball lock?
Nope. Been done. Multimorphic did a multi-magnet ball lock on Cosmic Cart Racing. Infact; the whole layout reminds me of a Lexy Lightspeed PF. The ramps to the side with a "video device" in the middle with targets. That said; what is unique is the fact that it may be LED projector casting video onto the white plastic.
My personal opinion; I defiantly feel like stern innovated by stealing ideas from Multimorphic… or at least appropriating them from the true innovator in the industry.
It's just a magnet holding the ball/balls its been done a lot ... just mounted on the back of the game instead of on the playfield ...cool but nothing new.
Quoted from balt:A white wall is a tough sell. I'd rather interact with a UFO or a castle. I hope it proves to be fun.
I believe the bash toy also locks balls....so 3 places on the premium/le that balls can lock.... that's nice for a stern pin.

Nothing wrong with a white wall it’s the best way to reflect light from a projector
Hope you like playing in the dark. Can’t see it working otherwise.
But playing in pitch black looks like it could be cool.
Can’t imagine the pro though - will be pretty basic.
Quoted from cooked71:Hope you like playing in the dark. Can’t see it working otherwise.

yeah that only problem i see with that is having to be dark. Which would lend to the feeling of the theme but dark is not all ways doable for everyone. But will see still going to be awesome.
Quoted from Rum-Z:Kinda looks like a little drive-in movie theater screen in the middle of the playfield.
Yes nothing wrong with white screen they work best to reflect the light from the projector. I am excited.
767EBB4D-6FE4-40A9-91B4-72574F7B0E36 (resized).jpegso they end up showing the side art of the cabinet during the beginning then at 34 sec mark. At first I didn't know where those were coming from but both have those black circles in them that are typically in the sides of cabs. Translite is weak....hoping for better on pro.
I also noticed that during the projection scenes, look at the main LCD - it's barely being used. I wonder if the prem/le will use the projector to portray the video while the pro will just use the LCD at all times. I'm not really impressed at all with the projector thus far (reminds me of that pinball 2k which I thought was dumb) and if the pro just ends up keeping the action on the LCD, its a complete pass.
Magnet against the wall isn't interesting to me either. I would love to see more!
I actually think it looks pretty interesting. There's a lot of interesting things you could do with this set up.
Looks pretty interesting to me. Nothing new or spectacular but it definitely looks fun and all of those inserts makes me curious also as to how they will be used. I would be interested if not for being scared of the playfield quality but it just concerns me too much to spend that kind of money right now. Nice game though for sure.
I think I read somewhere that it is a medieval madness layout and it surely looks like it. Wham slam and Bam up to the magnetic ball lock would be cool thrown the ball like Houdini. I know that's likely not there, just saying...
I like so far what I see. Can't wait to see bigger pictures to take the art in. It's really hard to tell now.
I'm a sucker for toys and cool features. Seems like it's checking all the boxes so far for me. Can't wait for the full reveal.
As long as it doesn't shoot like GB it's gonna be fun.
Watch out, Brian Eddy is back! Lol. This thing is a like a breath fresh air....so damn cool. I freaking love it. I was so worried Stern might screw this up. Also, I thought the art would be bad, (due to DD post on FB) but they captured the look pretty well. I just hope the game play and music can live up to this pf design...I can't tell much from that short video but it looks flowy as hell. I think it's a winner, game of the freaking year people!
Quoted from timtim:So is chuckwurt stuck in the upside down.
I just sent him a text and didnt get a reply. He's probably out riding his bike thru the neighborhood pretending to be Will.

Think of it this way..the more inserts the less wood to dimple
Is it just me or did it seem like the playfield was smaller than normal? Maybe an optical illusion...
Quoted from pcprogrammer:STH works for me.
I think STS has a better "ring" to it. Stranger ThingS = STS

Nah, im going with singing never ending story over walkie talkies.
The whole center mechanism looks interesting.
Towards the end of the video you can see the 4 center drops open up, a ball comes out from behind them for multiball, then they close up again. Cool!
