Embryon Vagina < Stranger Things Vagina
My least favorite kind of playfield art. Montage of characters with a huge pile of inserts that don’t interact with the artwork in any meaningful way. Playfield art should “know” it’s in a pinball machine. This reminds me of X-Files era Sega; hard pass.
Quoted from Whysnow:So the screen thing is only the prem/le, correct?
Hoping so
Yep
while this looks great. Im now even more worried Id have to play this in the dark since I play with lights on. Maybe I just need to add pinstadiums to my deadpool to compensate....

yeah interested in what the pro looks like for sure.. most of that screen stuff im sure is replicated on the lcd
Is this an actual leak? Hard to imagine Stern gave this to Kaneda on purpose, isn’t it? Or was this a peace offering?
Only thing is the lighting... sure is gonna have to be fairly dark for the premium/le for the projection to work and cld b difficult to see to play? I love the effect and will just have to see but at least there will be a pro without that. However that's a huge feature missing so who knows lol. Hopefully the pro has the magnetic ball lock but its probably missing also ? . Lots of questions still to be awesome but looks super cool and off to a good start . Imo.

Stern knows how to “leak” stuff very well.
He is but a pawn in their game.
I am really glad Eddy is back. I loved the Stranger Things show and thought the latest season was the worst. This theme to me does not translate well for pinball in my opinion. Although I will not judge until playing it, I feel this game will end up in the leagues of The Shadow once the dust settles. It will be a "flash in the pan" theme that's hot "now" and will slowly fade away into pinball oblivion as time goes on. It's saving grace will be gameplay and code which will be coming soon. It looks like the Pro will be a stripped barren wasteland like BKSOR of which the Premium/LE is the only way to go.

I hope it is like BKSOR as the pro is the only game worth playing of the two IMHO
Pro on this could also be a much better shooter
I'm glad a company is finally trying projection mapping. Looked really cool on this homebrew project:
https://diode.zone/videos/watch/dd039de1-e8e2-47c9-b761-6ca2092eb717
let's hope it doesn't get washed out in mild lighting. Looks neat.
Really like what I'm seeing so far.
If coded well, they are really going to be able to give a lot of cool/meaningful info to the player with the projection and make things like the drop targets in front much more interactive and fun to shoot.
I think it could be a really immersive experience.
Quoted from libtech:interesting, looks like pb2k, could be cool, hopefully a location has a prem to try
LE coming to the Calgary Century Casino.
Quoted from toyotaboy:let's hope it doesn't get washed out in mild lighting. Looks neat.
They were playing it in the dark and some scenes looked washed out.
Quoted from manadams:They were playing it in the dark and some scenes looked washed out.
yea i was thinking the same thing. Wonder how the pro will handle this.. Cant wait for full reveal
Quoted from manadams:They were playing it in the dark and some scenes looked washed out.
Yeah pinstadium has no chance on STH premium / LE

Yeah we need to see how the pro works and yeah I worry how it would look in lit game room. If has to be dark it hurt the game in my opinion. But it does look cool.
Quoted from yancy:This reminds me of X-Files era Sega
That was my immediate thought as well - looks just like X-Files. The return of the terrible Photoshop art.
I suspect this was Netflix's fault, though. Like with HBO and GoT.
I love how moody the playfield looks, evokes that whole creepy side of the series. With that soundtrack, oh man....playing it with the lights off might end up being one of the coolest pinball experiences evah...

This looks about a billion times better than GOT though
I think having the games ready to ship is a great idea..But doing that for the first time at this time of the year seems clunky.
I look forward to playing this! Hoping our awesome local operators get one!

Yep guess will see but so far it looks neat and I always play in darkness so no issue there. I'm wondering if the premium/le projection mode can be turned off and on in the settings depending on people's environment or if it's too light it just dont do it and works like the pro. Lots of questions still to be awnsered but a nice tease to get the excitement going lol.
Finally, a game with real video & voice assets. Good job, Stern. The projection on the spinner, targets, ramps & above the left ramp looks really cool...not sure about “the wall” yet...interesting way to conceal the monster, though. The whole thing seems very out of the box...I’ll definitely seek one out to play.
Art package is a huge letdown for me.
Don't mind the initial look of the movie screen that folds down into the ramp....otherwise looks like a typical fan layout? Correct?
It def be buy for me just decide if worth extra for the premium. I mean the screen and ball lock are awesome. But worried how it could be washed out in certain game rooms. I guess we have wait and see

Those standups that looked to change numbers is great! The ramps as well...nice touch
Quoted from bigd1979:Pinstadiums arent needed on any pin imo... just a few spotlights is all u need by the flipper area.
I agree. But you wouldn’t even want those spotlights on the premium / LE of this game.
My favorite show becomes a pinball machine! And while I'm hearing some definite fan boys cheering, I'm looking over the photos with my son (lifelong brawler and ST fan) and we both wonder what the heck happened to this game? I shouldn't judge yet ... but first impressions are ...
- What happens if that projector gets out of focus, misaligned, or the white backgrounds get flithy dirty? Or its in a bright room? Probably not one to operate.
- But in a dark room - which sets the tone for the series - this could be cool as long as the soundtrack is creepy!
- 2 ramps, 4 central targets, 2 outside targets, and a drop ramp to a demogorgan. Should there be more? Is this an LE?
- Could there have been a better choice of backglass art? The poster I attached would be my choice.
- The backsplash with the lightning effects seems like a cop-out. There's so much more to this series ... Palace Arcade, Will's house, the school. Would have been some nice artwork or toys there.
- Like the levitating / magnet stuff. Looks cool.
- WOW - a lot of inserts on the pf. Kinda kills off the artwork possibilities.
- What if this thing was more like LOTR? Get the group together and then have a demodog and demogorgan multiball with pop-up targets?
- How about an upside down flipping mini playfield like Lights Camera Action? Could even have used big flood lights like LCA does for upside down modes!!
OK - I'm sounding like everyone else here. Time to chill out and see the game on release. Shame on me for expressing my negative vibe
Can't believe I forgot Hopper and his awesome Blazer. Couldn't we newton ball that blazer somewhere?
Quoted from kermit24:I agree. But you wouldn’t even want those spotlights on the premium / LE of this game.
Maybe if not pointed up the playfield at all.. just towards sling area... will c tho .definitely something new will have to work with
Quoted from Deaconblooze:I look forward to playing this! Hoping our awesome local operators get one!
Me to! Always fun to play new stuff.
Quoted from RobCraig:- How about an upside down flipping mini playfield like Lights Camera Action?
So let me understand this: You want this game to be like Lights, Camera, Action?
