Quoted from DS_Nadine:Guys, I just hopped out of a phone booth and came back from the future to tell you about pinsides reception of Stranger Things.
While the projection mapping is incredible and everyone is starving for new ideas, of course pinside agrees that "the Pro is the way to go".
Projection mapping does not alter the way the game shoots and is not that great if you set up the game on a tanning bed, like most of us do, anyways.
Have to go back to the future now and play some Bill & Ted pinball, bye!
So you bought the Bill and Ted SE with the time traveling phonebooth. Waste of money... You could have gotten 3 pros for that money...
Quoted from chuckwurt:We need some Barb love in this thread.[quoted image]
If there isn’t a mode where you search for Barb is it even Stranger Things?
Quoted from Tsskinne:If there isn’t a mode where you search for Barb is it even Stranger Things?
Don't you mean IF you search for Barb it isn't Stranger Things?
Quoted from Tsskinne:If there isn’t a mode where you search for Barb is it even Stranger Things?
Well if 50 modes they are going to have to dig down and have a shift change at the pool mode.
I really am interested in the premium here. But i play pinball in a fully lit room. I need the light or else I cant see the playfield....
I want the call out: “Hey lard ass. No running on my watch. I gotta warn you again and you’re banned for life. Wanna be banned for life, lard ass?”

Lard ass multiball?
First off thank you kaneda
Second - thank god it looks like Stern has full assets!
Premium shown. Little disappointed with translite art so hopefully pro is better.
Projector does look kind of cheesey and seems you have to play in complete darkness.
Anyone know what's being shown 34 seconds in? It's a picture but from where?
I take it that the image is projected on to that Drive In looking screen since balls are hitting it. I’m in on an LE. I’ll play it in the dark!
Wow.. that looks cool. The ramp turns into a screen. And the back wall magnet hold.... looks like Brian eddy is back baby.

Added over 4 years ago:Update: Stern claimed copyright on the video and removed it from YouTube. Sorry folks!
Say what you want about "he who shall not be mentioned", but if I want news on upcoming pinball machines, he's my go to.
Some shots
Drool..
Actually looks like multiple translite are being shown? What's right in the beginning bc that is different than translite on full machine....hmmm
...too late everyone. They've already sold out of the 750 they are making. I got order #109.J.X75, which means I get machine #69.
Quoted from bigd1979:Rick and Morty who... glad I held off to see what Brian eddy wld bring us..... boom. Innovation
Lol. Innovation from 1999
Cool but far from innovation.
One of very few modern dream themes for me. Absolutely cannot wait to see more and play. Teaser looks absolutely awesome!

Where is the innovation? I guess the magnetic ball lock?

Here come the Spooky nut suckers from Wisconsin!
Looks amazing. Artwork is too intense for my young kids but I look forward to playing it at the local arcade. Looking forward to what pinside has to say overnight. Looks like a homerun for Stern.
A white wall is a tough sell. I'd rather interact with a UFO or a castle. I hope it proves to be fun.
I like the screen that becomes a ramp, but the two partial screens on either side that stay up look strange. Surprised they didn’t just make the whole thing turn into a ramp.
Bah Kaneda could have revealed it with the Special When Lit 24h charity stream. Still pretty cool and thanks!
Excuse me while I watch the trailer for the 6th time!
Hardly innovative but it looks like the layout is fine, many modes as they said, art check, full assets HELL YES check. Thank you Stern.
Quoted from Palmer:Where is the innovation? I guess the magnetic ball lock?
That is pretty neat but I think the whole package looks neat... with the different projections across the playfield that change depending on the mode . Also holding balls on the backboard with a magnet is cool effect also. Hope the games a winner and looking fwd to seeing much more of this one as we love the show.
