Tested all the t points on boards. Most were good except the high voltage they came in at 185 as opposed to 230v. Also coil behind back glass caught fire. I think it is a rectifier board. 2 red blinks, play files lights are on but no score reels and no gameplay lights, flippers or Gameplay lights.

When testing mpu. t2 we did get momentary Gameplay lights.
When testing rectifier we did get momentary flipper.
You has acid damage on bottom and battery doesn't hold charge with no power.

This is my first as game and am super pumped

The next flash (the third) would be the memory test of the 5101, so indicates that this chip (U8) has failed. It may be just a bad socket, dirty or bent legs, etc, but otherwise you'll need a new 5101.

Or battery leakage has damaged the 5101 socket.

Is it best to replace mpu and or silinoid/rectifier boards or to do first time board level replacement work?

That depends. Is it a clean MPU or did the battery leak all over it?

Are you capable of doing your own board work, or do you have to send stuff out for repairs?

Plenty of acid damage. Pretty confident about at least trying board level work

Got her working. Upon further inspection and testing I giggled the top right connector on the rectifier board and she came right back to life. Still don't have coil action but hopefully this will come on the next pass

Thumper bumper was stuck energized on boot. Replaced fuse and desoldered bumper and cleaned all connections. She now has displays and resets and plays nice. Spent a couple hours cleaning and touching up and now it looks sharp
