Quoted from CaptainNeo:

since when does lucas film start caring about quality? Maybe they should start caring about the quality of the movies they put out before anything else.

Their films are fine. Their game products.....not so much consistency there.

Quoted from D-Gottlieb:

That last one was bad, have to agree.

Nah.

Quoted from CaptainNeo:

apparently, someone hasn't seen a SW movie since 1983.

Apparently, I have, but I'm just not being a negative troll about it.

Quoted from CaptainNeo:

I just can't understand that anyone that is older than 10, can see EP1, or 2 , or 3, or 8, ..... and not think they were absolute garbage in every aspect. Just because it has the SW name on it, doesn't mean you have to still suck the SW member. It's ok, to acknowledge a good movie from a really really bad one.
only ones that anyone can sit through and not laugh about how terrible they are, is .... EP 7 and R1 (were tolerable but not great movies by any means)
it's not about trolling. It's about obvious bad writting. Kind of like NES games. Some were complete shiat. Where you might have 2 people out there, that try to sell it as a good game (the programmer and his mom), but deep down, everyone knows it's a pile of shiat. Negative comments doesn't mean trolling. That's not what trolling means. Negative comments are also......Honest reviews and opinions. It's ok. You know it's shiat. It's not going to be the end of the world if you come to terms with it.

I'm not defending the Prequels. They are trash.

Episode VII and VIII each had an "A" from Cinemascore audiences, and both were over 90% on Rotten tomatoes. So, both were well received critically and by regular audiences. The only thing "obvious" here as you say, is your minority opinion.

Put that in your blaster and smoke it!

According to what source? My post included audience reaction as well as critical reaction. It's almost as if you didn't read it thoroughly.

Cinemascore has it as an "A". This is polled by a wide swath of opening weekend audience members. It is independent of the studios, and can be brutal on even the biggest budgeted movies.

Online voting sources (which I assume you are quoting) are meaningless, as people can summit negative or positive results multiple times.

More whining......

Quoted from Moortus:

My expectations were much higher. If that's it, I'll just build my own. It shouldn't cost more than $50 in parts to duplicate what that video shows.

Knock yourself out.

Quoted from Psw757:

The R2-D2 looks fine but the base looks like absolute shit. Wtf!
They couldn’t even put some art on it or Star Wars logo? What a joke.

Why do you assume that's the final product? It wasn't even a Stern announcement, just visitors spotting it.

#171 5 years ago
Quoted from Zavadoza:

Gomez said its the topper to everyone there.

No one is debating that.

I said why are people assuming it's the finished, polished, ready to ship product? Decals would be the last thing to go on.

That one looks to be an in-house model they are testing.

Quoted from Captain-Flint:

I dont have the pin, but that would suck if I had waited all this time just for that. Sorry guys.

I paid $500 for a Ghostbusters topper that just lit up a few times. This seems much more mechanical and interactive.

Why is $400 a price drop? Only Ghostbusters was $500. They went back to $400 after GB.

#193 5 years ago
Quoted from kermit24:

Nope. Game of Thrones was $500 with the moving dragon.

GOT topper was before GB.

So the price had already dropped with Areosmith and GOTG toppers, so nothing new.

#198 5 years ago
Quoted from kermit24:

Aerosmith, GOTG, and IMDN are all $400 toppers. Unfortunately Star Wars is $500, like GB and GOT.

You're getting confusing.

An earlier post said that it was going to be $400, and that it represented a price drop.

My response was that $400 wasn't a price drop, because the last topper, Areosmith, was $400.

Then you jumped in, and now I'm not sure what point you're trying to make.

#200 5 years ago
Quoted from kermit24:

GAP, a distributor in the Chicago area had posted the topper for $400 initially in error. Everyone expected it to be $500 because any Stern topper with moving parts had been $500. Error corrected, it’s $500 as expected. Not that we like that...

Irregardless of their mistake, my original reply that $400 wouldn't represent a price drop because Areosmith was the last topper and was $400, still stands.

So I'm not sure what we're arguing about anymore.

The word you are looking for is "regardless."

No, I was looking for irregardless.
