Quoted from sirlonzelot:Is that a good score ??

Those speaker lights look sick! Which ones did you install ? I’m getting a pro model next weekend and am looking to trick it out with some sweet mods. I already have a pinwoofer GT audio system waiting to throw in there with the upgraded 5.25 backbox speakers and 8” subwoofer
Quoted from mollyspub:He sells them for the shooter lane. The right scoop already has one from the factory .
Word of advice... Set your game to 6.5 only! Trust me.
Awesome! Thank you! So where are you checking the pitch from? Trough area by flippers?
Anyone here have the spotlight bracket kits from mezel mods installed? I just bought a set and was wondering how much of a difference it makes. Maybe post some pics ?
So on my pro model, what should the pitch be set to, and how do I check my angles? Do I set a level across the play field or where?
Quoted from Mad_Dog_Coin_Op:This game is on the picky side. 6.5 for the pitch and side to side level needs to be perfect. Get a digital level and place it directly on the playfield in the middle center at the bottom and the top of the playfield. It takes a little effort to get it dialed in but it is worth it.
I have an inclinometer for the pitch. But all I have is a bubble type level.
Can someone post a pic of the lermod millennium falcon toy that glows blue? I’m thinking of springing for one but want to see what it looks like up close. And how is it interactive with the game?
Quoted from Lermods:We ended production of our original falcon because the model we were using became very hard to find. It used LEDs and was interactive with the ramp flasher. Mezel stopped making their version and asked us to take it over for them, which we’ve done. It is lit with EL wire and has a warm blue glow, but is not interactive. Hope that helps.
That’s fine. The one that I got with my pro doesn’t look all that great. As far as the lighting goes. It appears to be an led strip and it doesn’t glow at all. EL wire looks much better
So I just got my pro model yesterday. Was trying to get everything set up and I’m just going through the play field cleaning what I can. Installed a trough light kit. No problem. Had to use a GI bulb socket from under the left sling. No problem. Took that all apart and back together again no issues. Noticed that the sling rubber looked pretty worn and dirty. So gonna replace that. But when I turned my machine on to play, the left sling started going crazy. Sounded like a machine gun going off! So upon further investigating, it appears as if the lower leaf switch is almost practically closed all the way. I had to move the sling rubber around a bit so that the leaf switch was not making contact. Does this mean I need a new leaf switch or just new rubber or what? I attached a pic so u guys can see how close it is in comparison with the upper leaf switch. It’s super close!
DEC12FA3-2599-43A1-A032-B324C410C174 (resized).jpegI’m not sure which part of the switch I’m supposed to bend, guys. I’m still learning a lot about pinball repairs and such. Could you guys be a little more descriptive ?
Thanks guys. I watched some videos and it seems pretty straightforward. Gonna order that adjustment tool as suggested. So now I have another issue! lol. It seems at random times that the ball ejector will load 2 balls at a time! I’m so confused at this. Can anyone help out with this one?
Quoted from Karl_Hungus:I have this issue during TIE Fighter Multiball. Since it is multiball and it counts the balls correctly I have let it go. It could be the lane protector. On my Ghostbusters, I installed Cliffy's and started having the same problem. The ball was firing out, hitting the metal protector and flying back enough to not register in the lane. Then the machine would eject another ball and I would end up with two in the lane. I lowered the eject power and it fixed it right away.
I have a lane protector on mine too. The plastic overlay one, and I only noticed this happen once I installed it. I’ll do the same and lower the eject power.
So I’m not sure how to word this correctly, but on my machine , I almost always exclusively use the action button to start a game or to launch the ball. When I start a game with the action button, it somehow advances your choices shown on the LCD screen by going down one spot. It’s super annoying and I don’t
Think it’s supposed to happen like that ?anyone here have any solution to that or is that normal ? I got my game used so I’m in the “discovery” phase so to speak.
Quoted from Mad_Dog_Coin_Op:You are correct. That isn't normal. Try reloading the code on the SD card. If that doesn't work you might need to contact Stern. My next thought would be a bad node board. You could try reseating all the connections but that fix seems unlikely. Do you know the machine's history? There might be a reason why the previous owner parted with it. Node boards are expensive.
When you say reload the code, do you mean just do a normal software update as I would do if there was an update ? I’m not sure how to go about reloading code
For the Han Solo missions, where is the escape from boba fett lit? I can’t seem to find it on the PF
Quoted from evileye:I believe these get wiped everytime the code is updated.
Really? That doesn’t make any sense.
Quoted from wolffcub:I will post the .stl file up later today. If some don't have access to a 3d printer i can possibly print out a set and ship them for a reasonable price.
I’d be interested
Where can I find replacement Mylar for my playfield on my pro? Like the metal entrance to the left and right ramps there is Mylar there under the metal. There’s Mylar located in various places on the playfield and I want to buy extras.
Quoted from PinMonk:Just get a bulk sheet of mylar and you can cut whatever mylar you need, whenever you need it.
Pinball life sells it at a very reasonable price:
https://www.pinballlife.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=mylar_24inch
I was hoping to find pre cut Mylar instead of having to cut that stuff my self. Not too good at that. I noticed stern used lots of Mylar in high wear places on the playfield. Which is a good thing.
Has anyone installed the tie fighter spring cover mod from mezelmods on their machine ? I’m having some issues with mine. Instructions are kind of confusing on this one.
When I went to reassemble the tie fighter , it seemed like the alignment was off. Like it was off to the right too close to the mini lcd screen.
So I ordered the stern slide brackets from PL, and so far the install looks pretty straightforward. But in the instructions, it says to hammer in the t-nuts on the top of the playfield. Whereas I think it would look better if it was hammered in on the underside of the playfield. What did you all do for your install?
Quoted from Mad_Dog_Coin_Op:They might look better but could easily be pulled out. You want them on top so the playfield is sandwiched between the t-nut and the slide bracket.
True. I thought about it a little after I posted this and it makes more sense for it to be on the top of the playfield
So finally got the slide brackets installed. So much better then the service pegs! Those things are about useless, I feel. So much easier to service it now.
Finally got my 5.25” backbox speakers and light kit installed! I think it looks awesome !!! What you all think? This is the pro model.
Quoted from Jarbyjibbo:Which one is that, where is it from?
http://www.speakerlightkits.com/Type-13.html
This is from speakerlightkits.com
Deluxe 5.25” type 13 kit with the 5.25” replacement speaker panels. I put the link above.
Quoted from Jarbyjibbo:Gotcha thanks. I buy all my kits from Doug but I have yet to try that one. Looks snazzy!
Thanks! He also has speaker plates that I’m gonna get as well that have the rebel and imperial logos on them.
Quoted from pudluther:Has anybody tried trough lighting? If so, what color did you go with?
I really like it on my Munsters Pro. Thinking about putting it on my SW as well.
I went with green. It looks really cool and fits the rest of the colors on the PF. I’ll take pics and post them soon.
Quoted from John_I:So Stern has gone back to installing the coin door switch on SW from the factory? They stopped using them for a while and went back to it because it is actually pretty useful. I wasn't sure if the SW software had the support for the switch in it. Now that I know, I might have to try to get a switch from Stern.
Can we do that? Install the switch ?
Quoted from pudluther:Has anybody tried trough lighting? If so, what color did you go with?
I really like it on my Munsters Pro. Thinking about putting it on my SW as well.
Here’s a pic of the green trough light.
987EB46C-9B7A-4D2B-9D21-5A00EC40C67B (resized).jpegQuoted from rai:I love the green light.
Who sells these?
Mezelmods. Lermods. Take your pick
Quoted from pudluther:Nice!
Does it affect the spinner? I know on my Munsters Pro it turns the spinner a green color...and it’s in roughly the same place as it is on SW.
Not that I noticed.
So I’ve been searching for side armor for my pro. I can’t find them in stock anywhere! Anyone know where I can get a set???
Quoted from wolffcub:The baffle kit revisions have been made and fitment has been confirmed from other machine models. The baffles are now made with both mounting holes styles so the kit is good for any machine model.
What is this baffle kit you speak of? I have a pro model. Would it work on mine ?
