Just joined the club last night! Traded a cactus canyon remake for this game NIB! Loved cactus canyon for the past 5 months, but my wife had a hard time seeing the game when it all went red. Her vision isn’t getting any better, however she tried this game at my friends house and really enjoyed it. Plus she could see it!!! A few post later on pinside and BAM, Star Wars premium in the house! Build date is August 19, 2022! I’ve actually been wanting this game since I saw it on location a while ago, and finally I have it. My goodness this is a fast game. Played one game before going to bed anfter brings it in the house and DANG! A lot faster than ones wornout on location!

I was wondering how much a shaker motor is integrated into this game? I just ordered one from pinball life, but should have asked here first. I enjoyed the subtle input on cactus canyon, and Godzilla is nice without being intrusive.

Thank you!

I am really enjoying my new Star Wars pin, however the one item I'm not happy with is the SDTM shot I seem to get when shooting the orbit around the Death Star when going counter clockwise. It doesn't happen all the time, but with a fast ball, it goes right between the flippers. Kinda sucks. It does not appear to have any adjustments. Has anyone else had this issue and came up with a solution?

Thank you,

Quoted from SimplePin:

you can see that there is some adjustment if you loosen the nut under the playfield and apply pressure to the lane guide to push it as far left as possible before retightening the nut.

Cool. At first glance I didn’t think it could be moved. I will give it a try! Thank you for the tip!

Ok, so since getting my new Star Wars pin a week or so ago, I've added a few nice upgrades to enhance the game and increase the enjoyment at home: Shaker motor from Pinballlife, Mirror for the rollover area, neon colored plastic protectors, mirrors blades, plaque around the action button and invisiglass (yes, the glass is installed in the picture) from Cointaker, however the most significant upgrade has been the Pinwoofer KOP Spike 2 kit with the 5.25 inch back box speakers and 8 inch sub!

I have their original kit in my Jurassic Park from a couple of years ago and love how the sub shakes the game when the T-rex roars, the installation however was a bit confusing but with Pinwoofer's quick help, I was able to install it without too much confusion. I saw their new kit originally on SDTM YouTube channel and the installation on Hurry up Pinball's you tube channel as well so I figured what the heck, this game has epic music and tons of callouts, they shouldn't be held back by stock speakers. The installation was SUPER easy and straight forward. I am actually surprised on how much more clarity the game has now. Every callout, music score, etc seems enhanced as if you are playing in a high-end movie theatre. Everything seems more epic and engaging while playing this pin now. If you ever thought about a speaker upgrade, I'd highly recommend this kit. If you are anywhere near Winston Salem NC and want to hear it for yourself, just let me know!

Quoted from Knippen8:

Top mods? I'm thinking shaker motor, and the stormtrooper plunger

I’d say pinwoofer kit, invisiglass or voodoo, etc and neon plastics protectors. Shaker is ok. I have it installed on mine, but the upgraded sound quality and clear non reflective glass are money better spent in my opinion.

Has anyone tried upgrading speakers?

I added pinwoofers new kit to mine. Huge difference. Clarity is greatly increased and the powered sub bolted to the cabinet floor adds some. Nice vibration and punch.

I have their original kit installed on my JP, no need for a shaker with the powered speakers. Plus, the new kit installs soooooo much easier then their old system.

Any recommendations of a sticker or lights for the hole?

Quoted from BrokenChair:

Gosh I want this pin so badly but I just got a Godzilla premium so I’ll have to realistically wait a painful 6 mos to a year to get a pro or premium ;

Godzilla is awesome for sure. My wife will never let me sell it due to the long ball plays and just cool features. I just had a Christmas pinball party with my coworkers and to my surprise, my coworkers rated my 1984 space shuttle pin first, Star Wars second, Godzilla third, and Jurassic park last.

So for casual players, Star Wars is a hit based on theme and two flippers. Most of my friends forget about the other upper flippers on most modern pins. Star Wars to me is an adrenaline rush. so fast compared to just about any other pin, I do have the ball save up to 30 seconds, but makes you appreciate what the game has to offer!

My Star Wars is a Sept 2022 build that came with insider connect. Updated the last two codes now via WiFi and had no issues after play testing this morning.
