New to the club with a premium. I really like this game but its really kicking my ass. I always try real hard not to play with settings/outlane adjustments to make games easier but this was the first time I did it after 25 really quick games! I even lowered the flipper power a touch to slow things down. Still having a hard time getting anywhere. Admit I'm not the best player! Hoping in time my game improves. Using a sub with this games with the music loud is really a great experience.

Interesting stuff here guys. Glad I'm not alone. I'm going to look in to printing that outline saver.

What is the easiest way to blow up the Death Star? I've only seen it in ball search!

#13399 1 year ago

Yes, the game is really hard for many. I don't consider myself a good player but I can have some decent ball times for most games. The first time I played Godzilla, real long ball times, easy to love. The more I get in to SW, the more I appreciate it but some of my games are over very quick and this is with the out lanes set to minimum and all ball saves pumped up. After about 50 games I'm starting to get the feel now.

Quoted from JakeFAttie:

so two thing...
1) I'm getting better at the death star/hyperspace shot. I had two balls in the hyperspace loop today for the first time and that was friggin' AWESOME!
2)Completely unrelated, I'm having the problem where two balls get ejected into the shooter lane (when there should be only one). I know I've seen this mentioned before, but can someone point me towards the solution?
thanks!

I've gotten 2 a few times now but keep botching the 3rd.

Still happy with this on mine. Out of the box, the power supply connection (USB) is on the side. I re-wired it with a jack for a wall wart instead.

I copied this idea. Thanks! I may look for an alternative Translite that has the Star Wars on the bottom so its not double Star Wars..

Quoted from BrokenChair:I’m debating on getting a Star Wars premium or avengers infinity quest premium anyone have any good advice or input

I have both Premiums....the only reason I have Avengers is my son really likes it. I like Star Wars more. I feel like Avengers got old real fast. Just my opinion.

Quoted from mrm_4:

Those god damn Jedi targets kill me. I kept getting them all but the one on the right side of the scoop before it would time out then I’d have to go at them again. Over and over. Just one shot away from having everything complete.
So damn mad I couldn’t get into wizard again
All planets done
Tie fighters done
Escaped the Fett man
Completed the duel
It’s always these effing targettttttssss

Best game ever!!!
I’ll push start again tomorrow

OK well now I want to sell all my games and quit pinball. Thanks man.

Haha sorry man but hey that game was almost an hour long after I played about 25 two minute games. Sometimes it just clicks

Apology accepted. LOL.

Quoted from crujones4life:

Are the decals the exact right size? No cutting or trimming? Just curious. Don't think I would undertake it myself. Probably have bubbles and dust and shit underneath it and be all crooked when I was done...lol. I know my limitations.

Do me a favor. Wait a month and then decide if you want to still do this. Every time I see something like this I immediately react the way you are and then after a few weeks i don't care so much. lol

Quoted from JakeFAttie:

I found the image online, cleaned it up in photoshop (took out some creases), sized it, had it printed! $60!

Where did you have it printed? I'd like to try this myself.

Quoted from vikingerik:

Yeah, there's something really weird about the angle of that shot, it messes with your perception. I get the yips on it all the time and can't hit it at all... then an hour later I'm nailing it just fine.
I'm always more consistent hitting it by backhand from the left flipper. (except a premium when the fork ramp is raised, but even that is possible on some machines, including the premium on location nearest me.)

Glad I'm not alone. I struggle a lot with that shot. I can back hand it but its really really hard to get it just right on my Premium.

#13783 1 year ago
Quoted from SimplePin:

For those with Premiums who backhand the death star shot. Are you shooting from cradle or slow roll back from tip or... I've made one or two backhand shots but they were accidental and have not been repeatable. When I do make the death star shot it's from the right flipper on a full roll down the in lane with a solid shove (not enough to warn or tilt) at end of the flip.

Always from a cradle. I can't do it any other way with the left flipper.

#13789 1 year ago

Hmmm...I've been able to do it but its tough. I actually have my flipper power reduced a touch from default.
