May have come across a bug, not sure:

When not in any mode (or mode - doesn't seem to matter), get the Mystery R2-D2 award from the scoop...one of the options awarded is Light Hyperspace Hurry Up..

Results after ball is ejected:

The fork ramp rises, but no Hyperspace is cued and hitting the fork ramp through the Death Star doesn't trigger an orbit hyperspace...

I could be wrong about this but I'll try to capture it on video...just wondered if anyone else out there has encountered this or if it is a known bug

#7464 4 years ago
Quoted from zacaj:

I thought that award just lit the yellow arrows

Ah you're correct, I mistook it to mean it Spotted the yellow arrow and triggered a death star hyperloop shot in one...thanks for the clarification

That looks pretty good but a bit pricey. Anyone have it?

I have it and it's an awesome mod and perfect scale

Finally blew up the Death Star via the purple Destroy the Death Star route, granted I stacked an add a ball but immediately following victory multi ball had tie fighter multi kick in... Man talk about intense, I think at this time I was just shooting flipper/ball position for known shots and barely glancing up.. crazy fun

The pro definitely looks better IMO, but I get that the Premium stuck with the Dark Side theme

Quoted from deadghosty:

Hey guys, just picked this game up a few days ago, how ever slight problem. My escape bar on the right outside near the bottom right seems to be malfunctioning. The bar will stay down even though escape is not lit and sometimes it doesn't go all the way down or is only halfway down. I attached a picture of of the piece.
[quoted image]

Mine came from the factory like that, underneath the playfield, there is an adjustment hex bolt, just loosen it a slight amount with an allen wrench, lift the gate up a very slight amount on the top of the playfield and retighten the bolt. You may have to loosen and tighten a couple times to get the gate positioned correctly when closed (inline with the shooter lane).

Is it just me or dumb luck but I seem to get more extra balls while playing as character Luke than anyone else?

#7716 4 years ago
Quoted from Thunderbird:

Luke is coded that way, to get more extra balls than the other 3.

Ah thanks, that's why I just got 3.4 billion, have been playing mainly as Han... Thanks

#7754 4 years ago
Quoted from rai:

I’ve looked at some nice tutorials and just trying to understand how you lock/unlock the multiplier X
Best I can figure the X X X are red unlocked and you can move them with the flippers right/left and then lock again with the action button?

The first ball launch with character selection requires only using the right flipper to pick your path, the x's are also moving so you can scroll through the path's repeatedly with the right flipper to start the x's in the exact position you want them before the first launch

When the ball is in play, you can press the action button at any time and move the flippers to reposition the X's then lock again with the action button

In addition, you can do this during the Mystery R2 Selection, and also before relaunching a ball after a drain, select the character path bonus with the right, and re position the x's with the left, then wherever you launch the ball, the x's will auto turn green from their red unlocked state

#7760 4 years ago

For a long time, I went back and forth about moving the outlane posts (to be a purist) but I just feel in the normal position, there were just way too many cheap drains with the Playfield at 6.5 deg., which is perfect for all the ramps and shots on my game, but just made the drains ridiculous. Finally moved the posts to the smallest outlane opening for overall family enjoyment and haven't looked back. Still very brutal, but less straight shots to the outlanes which at least gives a fighting chance without having to nudge the hell out of the machine. I rationalized it with the Deathstar being a harder shot, and the Extra post on the Pro.

Quoted from HC2016:

Hello all ... I’m about to trade up my Maiden premium for Star Wars premium . Any thoughts on this ? ( I’ve played SW at a bar , but it’s clearly a tough game )

Man, I love both games...it's hard for me to say because I own SW Premium...it is a super deep game code wise and always keeps me pushing Start..I just had some friends over to play both my Jurassic Park and SW premium and they couldn't believe how much faster SW was after playing JP. It's probably one of the fastest flowing games around and my Steve Ritchie favorite as well as Dwight coded..

If you can swing it, could you keep the IM and still get the SW?

Maiden is fun but I'd pick Star Wars but definitely the Premium...the hyperloop is a must

I reset the weight offset in all my shakers...make them about 135 deg and it's perfect, just have to be careful about clearance on the weight (make adjustments with power off) that it doesn't touch the wiring as it rotates, which will short/blow your game, as there is no preset dimple for the allen screw, it's all eyeballing

#8239 4 years ago
Quoted from mbrave77:

How do you do that? I just ordered a pinball life one for my incoming SW. think im going to order blade art as well....

Easiest to do before you install the shaker.

Just loosen one of the weights (allen screw), until the screw comes out of the predrilled recess hole, then rotate the weight until the two weights look like they are 135 degrees apart. Use caution not to make contact with the wire connections again..Screw back down firmly and try to make sure weight is perpendicular to motor shaft and not leaning in or away from motor...it should parallel other weight when looking top down, but will be offset 135 degrees (approx) when looked at from side...

Quoted from CoasterG:

I'm getting a Comic edition Pro this weekend, where do you get the mounting hardware and what type of X-Wings are those? Love to add 1-2 X-Wings and the Millennium Falcon to it. Speaking of which, are there any places making a good, lit Millennium Falcon like the Premium one still?
Thanks!
George

This is just a fabrication method I came up with. The mounts are actually copper lugs bought in the electronics aisle of Home Depot. I use automotive touch up paint and clear to paint the copper lug. The wire is actually a zinc plated sign wire (also home depot - see attached photo) that has very good strength and remains bendable with enough force from pliars but remains rigid and doesn't jiggle at all...I flat grinded the ends on a bench grinder and then glued them in the models stand attachment point (almost a perfect fit without glue) and let set for 24 hours...The X models are from Hot Wheels https://www.amazon.com/Hot-Wheels-Starship-Fighter-Vehicle/dp/B00MK0Z66G/ref=sr_1_4 although the one in the back is a Mezel Mod version with a

3D printed diverter cover/mount https://mezelmods.com/collections/star-wars-stern/products/star-wars-pinball-x-wing-fighter-toy.

They also can a Millennium Falcon for the Pro on Mezel mods https://mezelmods.com/collections/star-wars-stern/products/star-wars-pinball-pro-millennium-falcon

Unfortunately the Falcon is unavailable.
Thanks for the tips, think I'm going to use either Black Series or HW X-Wings, need to see the scale once I get the pin home.

You can click the email on the sales page to notify you when they have one in stock...I'm guessing it's popular again because of the Comic Star Wars...Mezel is great...

#8321 4 years ago

Yes there are more scenes, I've scene numerous from return of the Jedi, space battles scenes, more speeder bikes, more call outs.. but it is a different game without mode selection like the upper models... Would love to get some of those scenes but honestly don't know where they could squeeze them in outside of rotating them with similar contexted scenes..

I'm really hoping for another code update, also to add more variety to ball drains.. I want to punch Yoda

#8327 4 years ago

Okay, the last of the mods added. Snowspeeder circling the AT-AT with harpoon cable and Boba Fett chasing the Falcon...

Anyone ever find the Millennium Falcon kit available anywhere? Stern has it listed as an optional add on, part # 520-7000-00 (the premium part # is 511-7887-00). Love to add one to my Pro.

I think Cointaker has one

https://cointaker.com/products/star-wars-illuminated-millenium-falcon-mod

I have the Premium so I don't have this, just did a google search

#8416 4 years ago

Modfather has the Premium model but it doesn't light, not sure if that is an issue for you

You could probably easily mod it out yourself and add some Comet matrix LED's

All of a sudden my SW Prem won't boot. When I turn on the power, the top four led indicators on the right side and one in the center of the main board come on. One led indicator on the board next to the power supply comes on (I think it's labeled D5). The machine doesn't do anything after that. I checked the fuse, it does not look blown. Any idea what's going on? See pics.[quoted image][quoted image]

Boom - you and Wildbill327 got it right off the bat!! Thanks for letting me know. Works like a charm. Printed on my board is 199-5343-00G - and my board looks different than the one printed in the manual. Go figure!

Hi. I'm about to join the club with an LE and was wondering what are the absolutely must have mods? This one has mirror blades, and a shaker. Also, are there any mods/toys that can be added, that aren't meant to be pinball mods, for cheaper??
Thanks!!

Hot wheels sells a bunch of ships and vehicles on Amazon, you can fasten them with wire and lugs...see me previous posts in this thread

I thing the Destroyer mod is a must have, but not sure the one i have is available anymore, there is a big fugly one out there so watch out and shop before purchase

I absolutely love the translucent Titans on my machine now, no more black crud

Comet Matrix lights can be added to the VUK trough, ball trough and under the force targets

Just had the most insane game ever on my SW Premium!!

Playing as Luke, 3 Balls setting Factory Defaults on everything

Death Star Blown up on Endor with Endor medal
All Planets complete except 2 missions on Tatooine
Only Needed Lightsaber Battle & Boba Fett to continue after finishing Tatooine
Drained going after the Rancor

Didn't beat my high score but I was getting so damn close to the Emperor I didn't care
2.8 Billion

I like listening to Kaneda, but how the hell he can call this game crap over and over is beyond me. This IS a masterpiece of coding and geometry

Palm's sweating, heart racing...this was a freaking workout..never got this rush from video games ever this crazy

First time owner of any machine, and picked this one up last week. In an apartment now, is there any way to turn down the flipper eject noise down so I don't get forced to sell it =)

Just thinking off the top:

Turn down trough eject to 176 (lowest setting)
Line cabinet with vinyl dynamat (I wouldn't think of putting any kinds of foam in the cab - ie fire)
arrange acoustic foam on walls outside surrounding machine to knock down echo

Unfortunately - solenoid noise is inherent to pinball and inescapable to some degree

Quoted from PinMonk:

Had some requests for light color brackets for STAR WARS, but didn't have a machine to measure out the white inserts until recently. Now that I do, I've made three sets of insert brackets to colorize the white inserts on STAR WARS. They'll be in the Pinmonk store and at pinmonk.com shortly. The character inserts bracket is in the store now, and the FORCE/Lightsaber Duel gradient/duotone bracket and multiball bracket pair will follow.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

These look amazing, I'll be ordering all soon!!! Thank you

#8521 4 years ago
Quoted from PinMonk:

What software was Stranger Things running in the wild? Some ops are great at staying up to date, and some never update a pin after putting it out...

Curious as to why operators seem to be lax in updating code, don't they equate the best version of the game with more profit...see this on LEs and Limited Editions alot... Why even have those versions then?

#8525 4 years ago
Quoted from TheLaw:

Because there isn't much actual connection between the 2.

Why is that though? Maybe long term $ would increase by putting the best out there...I know I don't continue to put money into a machine if it's old code

#8531 4 years ago
Quoted from PinMonk:

I had unexpectedly more immediate demand for the STAR WARS Force gradient/duotone bracket than I expected, so none of the orders for those and the other two STAR WARS color brackets went out this week while I made more FORCE ones and tweaked the duotone insert. I have enough of all of them made now and the orders from earlier in the week when I announced them will ship tomorrow.
[quoted image][quoted image]

You do excellent work! Eagerly awaiting all 3 of mine ...Thank you for the update

#8544 4 years ago

#8553 4 years ago

I took the photo above with a Samsung 9+.. although I didn't put any filter on, the colors are somewhat crushed and saturated in the photo, making the character inserts somewhat stronger in contrast to the rest of the playfield. In person, they look identical to the other playfield inserts.

I would never go back to the white lights, a little too harsh for my liking in a dark environment.

#8560 4 years ago

I replaced all my rubber with Titan Translucents, except for the rubber behind the small LCD near the pops, that one I replaced with a Blue Superband because the translucent just didn't get enough action back to the pops. The translucent rings, not only look way better, but have a little more give than the factory rubber, just enough to avoid ping-ponging of the ball into the outlanes... It has made the game so much fun, but still a challenge... I didn't adjust any coil strengths.

#8598 4 years ago

So I'm playing today and notice the decal on the magnetic accelerator cover coming off... I removed the cover, carefully removed the decal, the remaining adhesive came off pretty easily with some goo gone...I applied 3m super thin double sided tape, reapplied and so far so good...

Has anyone had this happen before? The decal is fairly thick and fights against the curve of the cover it is attached to... So I'm not sure if this is a permanent fix... Any ideas.. Don't want this to keep coming off, and don't want to use super glue..

That is perfect, is anyone sharing these codes?

I can't share my code, because it's my raw image file 1.05 that I am modifying with Pinbrowser. Contains all my scores, audits etc on the SDHC card and I have no way to reload my audits onto a clean SD image...you can USB dump them, but not reload them

You have to be comfortable working with the program and editing and burning the image to the SDHC card using Etcher (see Stern site)

If you get Pinbrowser, for the LukeSave:

The video location is 0x111
Sound is 0x455

It's really not that hard.

for vids and sound

I use Power Director and Wave Director to edit my vids and audio files
I Produce a high quality 2K vid for reference then use Handbrake to convert the video to the 1360x768 resolution for the game

using PinballBrowser

1. Open your Image on your game SD using Pinbrowser
2. Save to new location on your computer
3. Store original SD for safe keeping
4. Click Video tab>go to video location>import video file
5. Do Same for audio (I use 100% and unlick 10000hz cutoff)
6. The firmware is automatically saved when making edits
7. Open Etcher in Admin mode and Flash a New Image to a NEW SD card using your edited Code image
8. Insert New image SD card in Pinball Machine and play!

Just had THE best game (not score wise but playwise) after coming off some major play on JP.

I got Victory Multiball on Hoth, Tatooine, and The Endor Death Star, Blew up the Death Star, got Jedi Master, Beat the LightSaber dual, 175 tie fighters, and 1 shot from Boba fett...

Now here's the crazy part...After I blew up the Endor Death Star, I triggered Hyperspace Multiball during Victory Multiball...Talk about insane...The hyperloop just kept going and going and going, then I put 3 balls in it.. Jackpots all over the place...

Bummer is, I still didn't make it to the emperor with all that complete

Do you know where I can find this? Yoda is driving me crazy!!!

https://photos.app.goo.gl/XWsYD9tzBFnJdJxbA

I made these last year (SEE THE ABOVE SHARED LINK), unfortunately, my computer got rebuilt and I lost the source files but still have the vids, one day I may rebuild them. If you use pinball browser, it's fairly simple to make the video and audio edits with a vid editor and sync the timings, audio and resolutions using Handbrake. I'm not looking to distribute anything or do any projects right now for anyone, I have too much on my plate, just show what can be done with a little time and effort. I went from knowing nothing about PB Browser, to making these in about a weekend. I replaced all but 1 yoda and redid the luke and leia ball saves with custom graphics

I did manage to find the sound and video locations though for version 1.05

JUst a couple tips to get you started: (there's entire threads on using and editing with PB Browser too much to cover here)

The trick is editing your videos to match the time durations of the original videos exactly and then editing the sound to blend fluidly during those cuts. You can use panning and zooming tricks to focus on different parts of a movie scene. Once all that is done, compile the vid, produce video and audio files of your work then use Handbrake to output the correct resolution format, and upload the new video and audio to the new locations.

Yeah I think the default sound package is fantastic also.

I think the deadfult sound is good as well..I just needed more variety with Yoda drains. This game is fast and prone to more drains than the average pin. In a home environment, Yoda can become repetitive and grating. Hence why I changed mine up. I do think the overall sound package other than the ball drains and some of the saves are outstanding.

I didn't even know this was possible...So I just fired up a game on SW Premium after doing some good work on Jurassic Park...So I'm playing as HAN, hit the Endor Death Star during a Tie Fighter Multiball, blow up the Death Star and immediately activate The Hyperspace Multiball in Victory multiball. I get not 1, not 2, or 3, but 4 balls chasing each other in the loop. I didn't think I could get more than 3 ...and they continued for a bit...man that was crazy insane rush..This pin always surprises me...crap game one minute...in the Zone with the Force the next

Hey all..I had a computer crash and reload and reverted my SW Prem to a default version while I was in the process of editing...bad timing, but I did find the final image in a backup I had and successfully burned it to an SD card and tested it back in my SW premium...so I'm back to my final edited SD image file

I will make it available as a shared Google Drive Image file here soon for those that want it.

Unfortunately, I don't have the raw files I used to compile the finished product so if you wan't to change the image files back to the defaults, you'll either have to save your old SD card, which I recommend, or use Pinball browser to get the files back.

I only have the Premium Image also so as of right now don't have the Pro.

I will try to extract the Premium Location files from my image and reinsert them into the Pro SD Image and then offer the Pro version here also.

I have no way to test the Pro version , so will require some people to send me feedback if it works or not (shouldn't be an issue - but the locations may be different so may take some time for me to locate)

Anyways, give me a week - and I will repost back here.

Here's what is different in what will be on my files for download

Premium version 1.10 Raw image with edits - No Yoda Drain's (except 1) and 2 Ball save changes, Luke and Leia

PM me for the link (it may take me a day to get back to you)

Don't ask for instructions or how to do new edits or use PB Browser, it is what it is
Don't ask for Pro or LE versions, although this may work on LE also, the image from Stern is labeled as LE but comes up Premium on the machine (If you know PB Browser you should be able to figure it out - sorry) - older versions of the software had the same files for PREM/LE, I don't know if anything has changed this version
Anything you do is your responsibility regarding your machine and its warranty

I'm simply sharing this

Some bug fixes and enhancements from Stern that I noticed:

Improved LED lighting
Improved Sound
Framerate appears to be smoother on Video Mode of asteroids (could be a placebo affect from the joy of NEW CODE )
Bug where flippers died if playing as Leia and you double press flippers to skip video scene introif speeder bike scene is stacked with anything else and ball is released from vertical post with flippers dead
End game random number shaker motor much less activation - doesn't rumble the machine apart anymore

Who else (premium table) REALLY SUCKS at the hyperspace loop/ death star shot?

You'll get better, just keep playing... I have this pattern where I have the X marked on the Right Ramp, quickly do a multiplier switch to the Death Star while the ball is returning from a right flipper backhand up the right ramp, just in time to right Flipper it into the Death Star for a ton of points if your multiplier is up. It's one of those Rhythm things were you just feel like you're in the zone. I don't even think about it now, just a flow thing

Quoted from Hoochoo:

Here's the official Code 0.93 patch notes about the TIE Fighter mini game:
----------------
- A new challenge was added to the TIE fighter mini-screen main-play 3-bank rules.
- You can now light extra ball from destroying TIE fighters on the mini-screen.
- At each new ball, a random target from the 3-bank, is selected.
- After you destroy some TIE fighters on that target, an Advanced TIE fighter will start showing up.
- After you destroy enough Advanced TIE Fighters a pinball ball will show up."
- Hit the target associated with the pinball on the display to light "Extra Ball".
- There is only one opportunity to light an "Extra Ball" during each ball, and only one can be lit per game.
----------------
[quoted image]
It takes at minimum 12 hits to get the EB. Destroy 3 TIE Fighters, 2 Advanced TIE Fighters and then finally the EB (6 shots to reveal + 6 shots to destroy). But until you reveal the Advanced TIE Fighter it's not known behind which of the three targets the the EB is hidden. So while it's random, let's assume we know beforehand that the EB is behind the middle target:
1) Shoot Middle target = Reveals TIE Fighter.
2) || = Destroy TIE Fighter.
3) || = Reveal TIE Fighter.
4) || = Destroy TIE Fighter.
5) || = Reveal TIE Fighter.
6) || = Destroy TIE Fighter.
7) || = Reveal Advanced TIE Fighter.
8) || = Destroy Advanced TIE Fighter.
9) || = Reveal Advanced TIE Fighter.
10) || = Destroy Advanced TIE Fighter.
11) || = Reveal Extra Ball.
12) || = Lite Extra Ball.
All revealed targets are on ~about~ a 15 second hurry up with a 1 second or so worth of grace period.
During both TIE Fighter & HyperSpace Multi-balls you are temporarily locked out of 3-Bank mini game so you'll need to find the Advanced TIE Fighter outside of these modes. I find the best time to do this safely is during a Victory MB, so long as I don't have other multi-ball modes stacked.

Thank you so much for posting this.

I honestly had no idea it was there and it just gave a whole new stategy and fun to the 3 bank.

Hello to All. Earlier this week, I received mirror blades for my eagerly anticipated Star Wars Premium that I expect to have in a couple months. Yes, I'm already getting mods. However when I received, opened up the box and looked at the mirror glass, I must admit that I was a little disappointed. The glass appears to have marks or lines that diminish the overall appearance. I didn't know if this is common for others who have mirror blades too? I don't know how well the "lines" be seen on the mirror/glass in my pics? There are a few of them but here are 2 as an example. Should I attempt to send them back (to CoinTaker in this case) or is this farily normal and how they come? Thanks in advance for your help?

The circle is now complete.

Added Translucent Drop Targets from www.Pinball-Mods.com

(Added black acrylic paint to the tabs that run in between the Optos on the drop targets as they won't work otherwise)

Also, added mirror blades from www.cointaker.com , covering up my older art sideblades, these just make the space battle theme I'm going for come alive

First pick had the upgraded drop targets - but no side mirrors - the rest are with the mirrorblades

I think the clear drop targets with led underlighting is one of the best mods for SW. I left mine without the stickers on them for more effect.

They really change things...not just looks, but they bring the drop targets more into focus into the gameplay, whereas before it was kind of an afterthought. It also helps flesh out the colors on the playfield a little better by allowing more of the GI to shine through and around

I thought about leaving the stickers off too as well. They look amazing either way.

#11445 2 years ago
Quoted from ChipScott:

Agree, those drop targets look amazing. Where did you get them?

I got the drop downs from pinball-mods.com

Looks like mezel mods carries the full Target and light kit now also

I got the under playfield lighting from mezel mods

https://mezelmods.com/products/star-wars-pinball-force-target-illumination

Just a heads up, if you buy the targets from pinball-mods... You have to black out the tab that runs between the two optical sensors on the translucent target.. I just painted mine with 2 coats of black acrylic paint.

I think mezel comes blacked out already

Quoted from Ashram56:

Good morning/afternoon,
I'm having my left white GI playing tricks on me.
Essentially: there's a short somewhere in the circuit, causing overcurrent detection. Originally the issue was random, then I found a pattern and could replicate the issue by simply triggering the left flipper. It's now persistent.
So my first thought was a short below the flipper coil mounting plate, no luck, wires are soldered cleanly, no identified issues. I tried identifying visually on the other sockets, no luck.
I did confirm using a DMM that there is indeed a short in the circuit. If I unplug CN15, the overcurrent detection is gone, which is coherent with a short on the circuit itself
So, a few questions:
- Did you ever had a case where the light bulb socket would actually create a short ? Never seen that before, but you never know
- Did you ever had a case where a LED light would actually create a short if defective ?
- Since it's now completely off, I have to manually trace the wires to identify where the left white GI would be. I would appreciate if someone would be kind enough to take a picture highlighting where they are (using test mode)
Thanks and regards

I had this exact issue with my first new in box pin which was Star Wars premium 4 years ago... Sometimes I hit that left flipper and I trigger a GI overcurrent I went so far as to removing the flipper assembly calling Pablo at tech support we chased it for months it turned out to be a strand of wire in one of the GI bulbs that was getting tossed around every time the flipper would actuate sometimes it would cause a short sometimes it wouldn't.

I would take each GI bulb out inspect it first with a magnifying glass and then give it a good blowout with some compressed air

Good luck

Adding stern insider is definately pretty awesome but I still hate that death star shot on the LE. Any tips to improve the accuracy of that shot? I can barely if ever backhand it, and the right flipper misses it > 80% of the time, hate that shot.

Make sure your game is perfectly level side to side...after practicing you should be able to hit it 80% of the time.

Also, Ritchie's games play way better cleaned and regularly waxed...use a couple coats near the ramp and you'll be flying up the deathstar consistantly.

If none of that works, use the force

I've read this entire thread in anticipation of getting my Premium in August. It was the first pin I wanted to own but a few other machines found their way into my basement first. Now that SW is finally about to arrive I'm starting to have doubts based on all of the negative comments about the game on Pinside and Reddit about how difficult it is. I don't mind a hard game as they tend to keep my interest longer and the rewards are often worth the effort. Is it really as hard and frustrating as everyone says it is? Is it really all about setup and tuning? I wanted this machine to be a keeper as I'm a huge SW fan and I really like what they have put into this game. Somebody talk me off the edge

I got my first pin SW premium in 2018. Now with 6 pins in my collection, I still play SW almost every day. It always has the " one more play" feeling and never gets old. The other day after about a year since the last one, I got a new GC 7 billion plus, even with that, I've never got to the final wizard. One you get the multiplier rules down and develop your own strategies for each character, you realize how deep and awesome the code is. Never leaving. Didn't hurt being a SW fan either

Curious about this. Care to elaborate? I run super-bands on all of my games. Never thought of this as cheating. Would love for others to chime in as well. I do run all of my games at factory settings, outlanes included, because I don't want to "cheat".

I tried everything including superbands. While they look the best, they also give a little too precise shot and accuracy compared to rubber or titan silicone, ... They gave me a false sense of better play and when I went on location or tourneys where rubber or titans were used, the adjustment was humbling.. plus they are too grippy and put some weird English on the ball, just my opinion though, I can understand why operators would use them

I finished installing the translucent drop targets. I used a small piece of aluminum angle that is available at Home Depot to mount the LED strips.
I (unsuccessfully) used some of my wife's fast drying, red nail polish on the opto interruptor tabs. It evidently was too translucent, as the optos didn't get tripped, so I had to take the PCB's of again. Carefully cut, black duct tape did the trick.

ok so an issue with SW comic premium Ive always had. And ive owned the game since launch. The game is so fast. Everytime I seem to be having an awesome game, I will lose one ball to it hoping over the flipper on a live catch. Usually its that super fast horse shoe shot.
Anything I can do there to fix? Different rubbers?
2nd. Anyone install precision flippers on this game? I have them, but havent installed.

Yep, it's Ritchie FAST! a good orbit return with a live catch or drop, sometimes results in the "over the flipper" roll....I'm using Titans but have had this happen with factory rubber as well...Give it some time, with a little wear and flipper assembly break in, the shots will slow a little , you could in the meantime bump the power down 5 or 10 points and see how that feels
Using Precisions on mine, no issues but had to turn down the power settings significantly to keep the shot speed the same...with precision and factory power, way way too fast...Accuracy is improved slightly but it's more an aesthtic difference, there are some weird "hard bounces" on the original precisions which I'm told are resolved by the halo precisions, but I've yet to test them out.

#13677 1 year ago
Quoted from mbrave77:

Ive had mine since launch so i think its broken in! I installed precision on deadpool and dont love them 100%. Even with power turned down. But ive NEVER been able to backhand the death star shot, which is something Id like to be able to do. Figured maybe precision flippers would help

Hmm...well all my pins run pretty steep (7.5 deg and up) Except for Star Wars. I stick to a religious manual recommended 6.5 deg which I measure at the flippers.

This not only makes the backhand easier as there is less gravity to overcome, but the return from fast orbits won't be as speedy, which could help with the flipper rollover

I would adjust there first before making power changes then.

The R2D2 topper is really nice but almost impossible to find. I bought mine at MSRP 2 years before even buying the game, as I knew we would own this game at some point. Seems like a no-brainer now but at the time it was controversial. At $799 it was the most expensive topper at the time and Pinsiders were all up-in-arms about the excessive cost of the topper and how stupid ppl were to buy it. Took a chance anyway and it sat NIB for 2 years. Glad I did lol.
I've added the Stern shooter, a shaker, laser cut side armor with glow in the dark backing, lit FORCE targets, a few ships, light sabre (over shooter lane), and mirror blades. The mirror blades really look awesome on this particular game
