Is this a tiny crack? That's what I am trying to avoid.

I'd go into test mode and see if the post is hitting the ramp when in the up position. If so, I'd look at the mech under the playfield and see if you can unscrew the mount a bit and move it slightly to the right to center it better. Good luck!

I did that a few times and it doesn't seem like it's hitting it. I will look under the playfield and see if it can be moved relatively easily. Thanks!

Seeing a lot of SW sales , could it be for Mando?
My opinion , Mando couldn’t shine the shoes of SW Premium

My ally is the Force, and a strong ally it is.

Hey guys. Haven’t read a lick of this thread. Don’t know much about the premium and the comic art premium. Is Stern still kicking these out? I really like the look of the comic art Premium. Would love to grab one.

When did the comic art version come out?

Also, are you digging this game? I’ve played the pro and was underwhelmed. Does the premium bring much more to the table? The game could be amazing, hard to judge with the little play I’ve had on it. I’ve been wrong many times before. Thoughts?

New Pro and Premium models are still being made with Original Art. Comic art was retired.

Was the comic art just a small limited run then?

Limited by time and not by number. Certainly way fewer exist than original art.

Anyone have a manual or access to part numbers? I want to order an extra sheet of decals for stand-up targets and drops. Thanks! ** SW Pro **

Looked through my manual and these are the only mentions of decals I could find.

Just joined the club today! Everything feels amazing one question about the lane diverter that directs the ball back into the shooter lane, is it supposed to be kinda wonky? Sometimes a ball will get stuck as it doesn't quite open all the way up and it shakes a lot when playing.

Looking forward to playing more!

Should not be “wonky”.

Does anyone find that the Death Star shot doesn’t take, about 75% of the time? I hit it pretty hard up that ramp and it just kicks back down. Sometimes it drops behind the pop up ramp when it bounces back. There is a setting i saw, "Death Star holding power" which defaults to 85. Would that affect things? It's frustrating enough to hit as it is, but to see out kick back so much...

Set your machine at 6.5 degrees and ensure it is level side to side. Once I did this, my DS shots make it 9 times out of 10 without any issues.

My success ratio is not as high (especially backhand shots, but I am not the best pinball player), but doing this made a BIG difference. This shot is really designed for that angle.

#10829 2 years ago

I've also re-leveled my Premium multiple times to 6.5 and only getting about a 25% success rate if that. It goes all the way up in there, but just falls a little bit short of the locking mechanism. I don't think I've ever made a backhand, lol.

So I've looked through most of comments about it and the consensus is you just have to have a perfect shot? I guess that is fine, just makes me think there is something wrong with so many failed attempts. At this rate I might as well never even try it and def forget about anything to do with the hyperloop! Lol

Got it. Thanks for the info. I've just relied on the built-in bubble, and used my iphone to level left/right. I'll see if I can get something more accurate. It's not like I don't ever make it, but it seems like there's a mechanical issue (maybe design?) more than anything else. If you make the shot with a reasonable amount of force, it should take IMO. I mean, I hit it pretty hard up in there...

There is also an adjustment to the wireform at the death star to raise it up. This has been mentioned several times in this thread, and there should be a link to a video from Ritchie mentioning it (and an adjustment to Tattoinne) as well. Basically, you loosen the lock nut on the left side of the death star, raise up the form some, if it starts kicking out during the hyperlooping, you went too far. Really helped me with my rejections, where the ball clearly had enough momentum, would go in, then come back down...apparently the ball was hitting the top of the wireform...

Oh man found the video and watched it, very cool. I released the nut on the wire form and it immediately popped up from a little tension so I just let it do that and tightened it back down and it seems like it's working like a glove now 3 in a row like butter, and hyperloop did at least 5 passes no issues.

My only issue now is the Escape lane diverter. Any direction on where to find any tweaking needed for this is appreciated! Def seems like it activates and opens fine, it's just when it's in a "non" activated state it doesn't go all the way back to it's resting position and moves a ton during play especially when a ball gets ejected through the trough or when I use the flippers.

I looked at the mech to see what I could tighten or reposition and it just seems loose all the way around.

Could you (or someone) provide link to video? I searched the forum, and I did find the image of the hyperloop adjustment (the lock nut). I've already ordered a digital angle guage, but I'm thinking hyperloop adjustment for sure now that I saw the previous message about adjustments.

Thanks!

Does anyone know how would u test a cpu board how would u know if it was bad

#10839 2 years ago
Quoted from Hoochoo:

Every machine has their minor differences but all Star Wars pins (at least after tweaking) should be capable of backhanding from a cradle position the Left Orbit, the Death Star with Ramp Up and the Right Ramp.

Backhand the left orbit? Can anyone do this?

#10840 2 years ago
Quoted from crujones4life:

I've done this several times for sure.

Never on purpose though.

#10841 2 years ago
Quoted from crujones4life:

Backhand the left orbit? Can anyone do this?

Pro yes. I have also seen it done on the Premium but that is a much tougher shot if the fork ramp is up. I can't do it on mine if I'm trying for it.

#10842 2 years ago

The spinner shot right?

#10843 2 years ago
Quoted from crujones4life:

The spinner shot right?

Yeah, I have hit the left orbit on the fly with the left flipper, a few times but never cradled and only when I'm flailing.

I have tried to left flipper the death star with the ramp ready and nah, no chance no way. If I hit it, it doesn't have the juice to make it all the way and will dribble down or behind the fork.

I'll try the hyperloop adjustment but I'm worried about messing up what's already working. When I hit the shot with the right flipper its great, few rejects that aren't a miss.

Just got these back from the powder coater. Illusion light blue (Prismatic).

Thanks. I am taking them the parts from TMNT tomorrow and then Stranger Things after that. Check your local powder coaters folks. A local shop did all of this for considerably less than the mail order people. (That is without shipping). You add in shipping, and this cost less than 50% of what it costs to send them out.

I am happy with how it turned out. My only question is if I should have just gone with black leg bolts. I used light blue anodized bolts.

Black or chrome leg bolts would look better. The two different blues kind of clash.

I have the blue surrounds, but I actually like the red better. Gives a little contrast.

Not a fan of the chrome leg bolts. I have some black Williams leg bolts, but they don't look all that great. Might ask the powdercoater if I can drop off a bunch of bolts so that he can hit them up the next time he's got a black batch.
