Ok so my drop target was randomly dropping on my STLE (with out being hit) so I went into test function and it works perfectly but it is so sensitive that if you blow hard on the target it would drop. Someone had posted pics of the drop target assy and showed where stern says you have to tweak the bracket a little. I can't find the thread where this adjustment was mentioned can anyone link to it?
Thanks Shock_me! I just did the washer trick and it still seems to glitch a little. I am gunna check my optos tomorrow.
If any one has an ST with a randomly resetting drop target let know what you did for a fix.
Quoted from Gov:I am using the Superband post rubbers right now and I have had 2 break in a week. At a $1 each, I am going to try something else.
Not what I wanted to here as I just ordered 20 of them
Quoted from pninja005:Just unboxed my ST LE and noticed there is no bubble glass present
Is this normal?
My STLE came with a bubble
Ok so my drop target is still randomly resetting, I reseated the plugs on the opto board for switch 33 which seemed to help a little. What I notice is that if I go I to switch test and then let the game sit after a few minutes switch 33 will actuate on its own (the opto directly behind the drop target) any ideas on what may be causing this? O yea and Shaking the machine does not seem to do anything/ cause SW 33 to actuate.

Quoted from shock_me:Reflow solder on the opto board connector and the opto in question. I fixed this exact problem on ACDC this way.
Thanks I will try this
It appears that switch (opto) 33 is bad on my game. If I tap on it it will go off and on. I reflowed the solder on it and it seems to work better but still glitches. I will get ahold of Patrick tomorrow.
Ps switch 33 is a PITA to get to!
Any one had a issue where the vengeance ship is defeated it won't reset (stays crashed) if I pull the glass and give the ship a small nudge it goes back into its regular position. I was thinking maybe the lighted disk that was installed added a bit of weight and is making the ship nose heavy.
Quoted from ExtremePinball:The wiring cable is likely binding on the plastic clip that holds it in place. Not sure if there is an easy fix for that other than using a larger plastic clip.
I will check that, thanks for the suggestion.
