The mission status and torpedo lights do not work when the machine is first turned on cold. After a few minutes of playing they come on. I just bought the game last week. I have checked and reseated all connections to all the boards. When the lights are not working the red status light on the mission light boards is flashing, the same when the lights are working. Anyone experience this issue? And any ideas or am I stuck until this issue is constant? Thanks for any info.

I just emailed stern tech support asking for help. I thought someone might have experienced this with their machine in the past so I figured I would post the problem to pinside. If not I will post the repair for future reference once I get there incase someone else experiences the same issue.

I did not think of trying code. Thanks, I will try that as it costs nothing.

Reinstalled code no change.

Stern says it sound like a bad board and to replace it. Waiting on a reply as he did not specify board? I dont know if hes refering to led board or main?

Stern suggested changing the led interface board. Its $60 delivered, I figured I would try one thing first. I reflowed the solder on all the pins on back of the board and that fixed the delay in lights. They come on as soon as game is started. Previously the game had to be left on for a few minutes for them to work. If you have same issue try this before ordering a new board.
