Hey guys. I recently installed plastic protectors and a new alpha ramp (with ramp protectors) but to do this work I had to remove much of the upper playfield.

After hooking everything back up and starting a gane I noticed that the mode would start automatically (as soon as I hit start). In some cases it would start as soon as I hit a flipper button. The strange thing is, this doesnt happen when I have the playfield up.

I've triple checked that all the optos are plugged into the right board/spot. Switch test only shows the trough and eos switches as active. There are no tech alerts and all switches and coils seem to be working fine.

I've checked the gap on the fire switch also. What other thoughts do you guys have?

Is the drop target dropping when you start a game? Mine did this and the mission would start. If not, perhaps something is wired wrong and is tripping something within the game to start the mission, just like my drop target did.

I've had the drop target issue before, but that isn't the case this time. Drop target works as expected.

I have the same issue after removing the playfield to install pinblades. I have pounded the playfield and beat the flippers in switch test mode and see no phantom closures. Also all ramp leds seem to test ok.

When I start a game ball will be served to the shooter lane then if I start flipping, ball will autolaunch. Also more seem to start on their own.

Isn't there a menu option to launch balls when hitting flippers? maybe you can disable that
