I finally had a chance to play the new ST (pro), & I have to say I was very impressed! I played probably 8 games on it at Todd's party Saturday (thanks Tood) & it's hands down the best 'pro' offering I've played from Stern to date. I think "XMen pro" is the only 'pro' pin that comes close. The play field is bright (factory LEDs) & colorful & has a fast & fun layout to it. The Dots are good, not great. The sound package is awesome, very true to the movie & pulls you into the game play.
Warp ramp. Love it! Very cool that it calls out increasing 'Warps' as you continue to make the 'Warp ramp' shots. My personal best was 4 in a row. Reminds me a lot of the 'jump ramp' in "No Fear", but different. I like the combo system as well. If you've ever played "XMen", it's similar to that.
All in all, I think it's a great pin! Especially the value in the 'pro' trim, compared to the 'premium' price tag. I look forward to adding a 'ST pro' to my game room in the near future. If you get a chance try one out, it's a fun pin!
