Quoted from HPR:I take a risk and estimate that only 10% of those games still exist today, 87 games in total
Quoted from greatwichjohn:I'm doing 74 new playfields.
I'd say way more than 87 games exist if John has 74 orders for replacement playfields.....
FWIW, I have listened to the song Iron Maiden from the album Iron Maiden by the band Iron Maiden while playing Iron Maiden.
Quoted from Isochronic_Frost:Say for every 5 years, the amount of surviving machines decreases by 5%?
Everybody has access to Craigslist and Ebay nowadays, so it's not like people are throwing away old pinball machines at the dump.
Nowadays, I'm sure more pins are discovered and returned to service than lost each year.
Way more than 50.
There are 30 unique serial numbers alone on the IPSND, and 99% of pinball owners do not bother to register their games.
Quoted from Classic_Stern:If you use the 1/2 rule every 7 years it comes to about 50.
There is no such rule.
EVERY PERSON IN THE USA, EUROPE AND SA HAS INTERNET ACCESS. They can easily look up the value of a pin.
There is no way that 1/2 off all the pinball machines since 2010 have been thrown away or lost.
That is stupid.
Quoted from Yoski:1979 was the year with the world wide highest production of machines, yet they come up for sale relatively seldom.
Check Craigslist.
There are 3 Flash and a Meteor for sale in my city.
