I was wondering if anyone has implemented an external volume control for modern Stern machines? Marco sells one 502-6953-55 (see image below) which is intended for SAM and SPIKE1 and it explicitely says it will NOT work with Spike2 machines. Seems odd to me, but before I start digging into wiring and schematics, I was wondering if anyone has crossed this bridge already.

This is the one I have on my Deadpool, works great and has the headphone jack as well. https://www.pinballlife.com/stern-spike-2-headphone-jack-assembly.html I know this doesn't answer your question, but if a part says it isn't compatible I'd take their word for it.

That’s what I use too. It can control just headphone volume or cab volume as well. Has option to mute knocker and cab volume when headphone is detected.

Official stern one does same thing 2x price.

An alternative is to just wire an extra three position rocker button from the coin door buttons I guess. $100 for a headphone jack seems steep...

I have this one on my two spike 2 games. Also gives the benefit of the headphone jack and sub out line.

If it works with Spike 1 - it also will Work with Spike2 Games. Only the Sam System should be different. The Button for the hole should be mit a a square and Look Like this.

Here ist the one you need.

    It's about $34 + shipping + Tax.

You should ask Marco or mezelmods If they can order a bunch from pu to Import them.
