They won't be porting this to SPIKE. Gary has said in the past VE's with remain on their orginal systems.
Besides, I'm sure they have a ton of SAM boards still in inventory. VE's sound like a good way to get rid of them.

Quoted from Aurich:I'm not sure this counts as a VE really. I wouldn't take what Gary said too seriously. He said they'd never remake Iron Man too.
That's the whole point of this thread. A Spiderman VE with re-themed art and dots. This thread isn't about a brand new Spider-Man comic book themed pinball game.
And as to wether or not everything Gary says should be taken as Gospel, the concept of re-using SAM boards in VE's still seems very reasonable.
They could make a brand new game based on SpiderMan comics, new layout and SPIKE, but that's not a VE.
Let's just make sure we're arguing about the same thing!
Quoted from T-800:I wonder how much the GOT delays will impact their timing on releasing the news on their next title...
What delays?
Quoted from Lethal_Inc:Wiring harness? Never mind saw the picture in the other thread. Why does the top say Game of Thrones?
That's in the video....just text from the filmakers because GOT is the new game as they are going through the factory.
The Spiderman re-themed VE certainly could have color changers added. Maybe not to Star Trek Premium/LE levels, but a few added for effect.
Quoted from rai:Let's hope. Are you guessing or do you know this as a fact?
Not even guessing. Just spitballing.
Quoted from rai:You're giving Stern too much credit then.
How bout a color DMD while we're at it?
Throwing in a few color changers is much more likely than a color DMD!
Quoted from Jvspin:That's not exactly a denial.
Yup. Two sentences, both factual. None of which denies they are making a Spiderman VE.
Quoted from jchiu:Really? Ive worked for 5 Fortune 100 companies and they never comment on rumors unless they are blatantly false.
Steve Jobs used to poo-poo ideas (such as a color iPod) only to introduce them later.
You want people buying what your selling today, not tomorrow.
Quoted from hoby1:Spike Blows IMO. I'm going back to buying older Sam and white stars
How much cheapening went on... Average weight dropped by what looks 25%. Power supply's instead of Transformers.Throw away boards and everything is component based. Higher profits for Stern and no savings passed on to the consumer. I'd stick with the original although I love the idea of the cartoon theme
You should stick with EM's. That seems to be more your comfort zone.
Quoted from kell:I may in the minority, but an LCD does little to nothing for me. I don't usually watch others play and when I'm playing I'm too busy trying to keep the ball alive to look at the display often enough for it to make a difference. Plus, I'd rather not see another "justification" to raise the price tag.
Based on that logic, the DMD should go as well as LED scoring. Perhaps a Mechanical wheel or backlit scoring?
