Hi to all,

I have recently pick up a Spider-Man Machine and im decided to make a restoration of it, first of all i apologize for my english, and if im not following all the rules of it, just tell me, because i never made a post about any restoration.

My initial purpose is to make the best possible, and really hope i can motivate others to do the same
For sure i have lot to learn and if you have any opinions/sugestions please post them.

The bad:
- The cabinet seams in good conditions but the paint is not so good, have a lot of scratches on it.
- the legs and the metal parts of the outside seem to have some rust.
- chrome trim is also in bad conditions.

The good:
- The machine is working 100%(switches, magnet, the DMD works, all the boards appear clean and to have not been damaged by any water).
- No major broken plastics i guess.
- The playfield have a LOOTT of dirty on it, but i think he is very good, lets see... is going to be a surprise even for me.

If i have time, my plan is to work on it every day, about 1/2 hours.

And now the BEST part the PICS

Let me know what are your opinions about this one..

Another questions,
What are the best modes for this machine?

Leds??
On Playfield GI on this particular case seems to work better with frosted whites, and match color on inserts. The plastics have a lot of colors on in, i think is the best way to pop the colors.

Can you guys share some pics of your Spider Man examples.

Thanks

Cleaning and polish the playfield will do a great jo.
leds instead of bulps looks great.
And ad 5 led spots with ultra bright leds so you can play in the dark.
And you see your graphics when its dark in the room.
the picture below is made in the dark, as you can see everything lights up.
All inserts led are ultrabright cold white leds.

Lets see, i hope so miglea85, there is a lot of work on a restoration, and not always stays like we dream
But thanks for your words and stay connected

I actually feel quite confident when I buy a routed game with this much dirt and grime on the playfield. It usually means the playfield is well preserved and perfect underneath. If it was me I'd probably have one little spot cleaned and buffed by now just to see how good it will eventually look LOL!

Day 2,
Almost all the playfield stripped... and a "first" clean...
Next step clean all the screws, i find that if i put them inside vinegar for a couple of hours they stay pretty well... Any alternatives for this!?

A case tumbler with walnut media for a day or so will bring all your metal parts back to shiny newness.
