Munsters (Limited Edition)
Stern, 2019I haven’t updated a Stern machine in years, TSPP being the last. Trying to help a neighbor update his Munsters LE to the LE 1.10.0. He has never updated his machine before so it’s on the original code.
Once I download THE MUNSTERS LE 1.10.0 GAME CODE I go to the zip file and extract …… this is the point I need step by step instructions from.
Appreciate the assistance.
Add extracted .spk files to usb stick. Turn game off, Remove backglass, insert usb stick into one of the sistered USB ports on cpu and power game on. I do the quick install without verification so as not to loose high scores
After installed, turn game off and remove usb stick and power back on.

Don’t try to open it!
After it’s been extracted from the zip file to its .spk format, you want to drop the two .spk files on your usb stick

Thanks, got it and am at neighbors loading it. However, the machine in the midst of loading the screen is flipping back and fourth between the Stern logo and GAME COSE UPDATE RESUMING. It’s not going to UPDATE COMPLETE
Did you have a chance to redownload and try again? Sometimes one kind of usb stick will work better than others, so try a different one if the re-download files still don’t work.
If you can use a USB flash drive with 3.0 specification.
Older USB 2.0 drives can be problematic with Spike 2 pins, sometimes not starting/freezing the update or boot cycling like you're experiencing.

Yeah I did re-download it but haven’t had a chance to go back to my neighbor’s to install it. Will do so tomorrow.
As for “a different stick”, I actually loaded it to two different sticks to try.

You might try re-formatting the USB drive in Windows before copying: default settings, quick format.
Be sure also you're putting the .spk.002.00? files into the root folder of the USB (not a subfolder).
