I purchased a Stern shaker for SAM systems and installed it in my TWD Premium today. The shaker is not operating based on the coil test in the menu and during gameplay. I closely followed the installation and wiring instructions provided. What are some troubleshooting steps I can take to resolve?

The kit also included a small PCB with capacitors on it, but the instructions did not offer any instructions for this piece.

I wondered the same thing, but I could not find any option. I don't remember any trouble installing on a couple previous SAM games before, but it has been awhile.

Also, when testing through the menu, the coin door is closed. Nothing in gameplay, but I'm not sure when it's supposed to activate.

I worked on it just now. It's functioning properly. This is what I did.

Removed the J16 jumper harness and cut the ground cable off.
Attached the. ground cable to the chassis ground on the corner of the power PCB.
Attached the small filter PCB to J3 of the CPU board.

Kind of odd none of this was part of the Stern documentation....
