Ended up with a Stern SAM CPU/Sound board as part of a bulk lot of boards. (#520-5246-00). I don't have any of the games it works in to test it, but if appearance is any indicator I'm guessing it does not work. (Looks like the game it came out of was definitely in a wet/salt air environment.)

Any thoughts on ways to go about testing? Is it safe to put in a known good game to see if it works?

If not, I'd consider selling it to someone with more experience/knowledge.
