Prices will not stop rising until they hit a point where all these idiots stop buying flipped games for prices north of MSRP. I think stern raising prices AND making 1000 Godzilla LE is brilliant because it allows them to take back control of the market when I would imagine that everyone who wants one will be able to get one at street price so there will be no market for flippers. And if they do happen to sell out and flippers are making cash on Second hand flips, you’ll see the price and quantity go up again until equilibrium is achieved and these things become depreciating toys like you’d expect with frivolous purchases like pinball machines. It’s become absurd and this group has no one to blame but themselves for facilitating this ridiculous inflation.

    Quoted from chad:

I have honestly thought of selling everything to. I would make a sheet ton but it would take 2x sheet ton to get back in the game...

Pinball is becoming the stock market where transactions weigh 250 lbs and require heavy lifting. sell now. Put the money in low-medium risk investments for a year or two and get back in once prices stabilize or drop OR when the cash you’ve held onto gains some value in the market. These games - especially stuff like stern games from the last 5-10 years should absolutely not be appreciating at all with some very rare exceptions. This is just a hype and stupidity cocktail blurring vision and ramping up prices. It will stall. The older and truly collectible stuff will probably chart its own course but buyer beware at these prices. At some point you will be the last idiot in line with no one to sell your game to at an inflated price. Someone always had to take the hit at some point. Don’t be caught standing when the music stops.
