Hi All

I have just replaced the rectifier board on my Stern Wild Fyre but having some voltage issues. Obviously all the header pins are new as are the molex connectors and plugs.

I plugged in J2 just to check voltages however I am missing a lot of voltages as you can see below. Biggest issue I think is that TP2 is only 144v and it should be 230v.

I assume it must be the transformer as I have triple checked that all the wires are in correct positions.

Any help or advice would be appreciated and also how to check the transformer directly.

J1-1... 0v should be 7.3v
J1-2... 0v should be 7.3v
J1-3--
J1-4--
J1-5... 0v should be 7.3v
J1-6... 43.4 should be 43v
J1-7... 5.9v should be 5.4v
J1-8... 0v should be 7.3v
J1-9... 5.8V (NOT USED)

J2-1... 6.6V should be 7.3v
J2-2... 43.4V should be 43v
J2-5... 0V should be 7.3v

J3-1... 0v should be 7.3v
J3-2... 0v should be 7.3v
J3-3... 0v should be 5.4v
J3-4... 0v should be 5.4v
J3-5... 159v should be 230v
J3-6... 5.8v should be 5.4v
J3-7---
J3-8... 10.8v should be 11.9v
J3-9... 43.1v should be 43v
J3-10... 6.5v should be 7.3v
J3-11... 6.5v should be 7.3v
J3-12... 43.3 should be 43v
J3-13... 43.2 should be 43v
J3-14... 0v should be 5.4v
J3-15... 0v should be 11.9v
J3-16... 0v should be 230v
J3-17... 0v should be 11.9v
J3-18... 0v should be 230v
J3-19... 0v should be 43v
J3-20... 0v should be 43v

TP1... 5.8V should be 5.4v
TP2... 144.9V should be 230v
TP3... 10.8V should be 11.3v
TP4... 6.5V should be 7.3v
TP5... 43V should be 43

Thanks for the responses guys. I figured that seeing that I am sure all the wiring was correct that I should just connect J1 and J2 plugs and see what happens!

All good re voltages and now playfield lights are working again which is one of the reasons I replaced the rectifier in the first place. See attached photos of the old one and you'll see the main reason I replaced it.

Now for the new issues.... the drop targets aren't working but they weren't working before I replaced the rectifier board. There is voltage at the solenoids but it isn't firing on the SDB (Q14). There is also some weird things happening like when the ball lands in the top right kicker, the pop bumpers start firing and clocking up points but the kicker won't kick the ball out.

Also if I trigger the left hand outer lane wire where it is supposed to reset the bottom targets, it again fires the pop bumpers.

I suspect that I should replace all the molex connectors as all the header pins are new due to new boards.

Any other suggestions?
