I am assuming this spinner cannot be fixed. Just thought I would check before it goes into the spinner drawer. I have seen the white decals for QS. Anyone make the yellow ones? I am in the midst of having a Quicksilver and Star Gazer restored and could use some yellow spinners or decals.

Yeah, once the metal tabs break off, spinners are usually done. I suppose you could try to drill it out the hole and bend a new rod to replace it in a pinch, but it would probably not spin correctly as a factory spinner.

I didn't realize the stars were supposed to be green on the spinners. I fixed it.

And sometimes the 'S' is green as well.

You can fix it, but that would mean drilling out the welds to separate the two halves, replace the wire and weld back together. I've never done it but it probably wouldn't be too hard.

Weird, the S is green on mine and the stars are red. How many versions were there?

#9 6 years ago

Mine are white spinners with a red S and blue stars.
