    Nice try, Jared!

We all know it's not the MSRP. Street prices have gone up more than you imply due to Stern setting minimum advertise price and minimum selling prices, where those didn't exist before.

    Quoted from VMAX:

the Stern pricing has been flat with only moderate increases.

    Quoted from VMAX:

That’s what I’m getting at. Stern’s MSRP pricing isn’t the culprit.
Street prices have gone up because of adjustments to the pricing structure that prevents deep discounts.

Eh, you're peddling that bike backwards pretty quickly.

Who is it that changed the pricing structure? Then you can't say Stern pricing has been flat.

    Quoted from VMAX:

I clearly referred to MSRP pricing being flat. I also agreed the wholesale pricing structures were changed, and that it’s a common industry practice for many good reasons. No need to conflate the facts. I didn’t post this to be divisive, but to insist that many aren’t rightly expressing what the pricing issues are (good or bad).
I’m as negative about entitled “victim” consumers as I am about alleged corporate greed. Both are a problem, and I see much more of the former on Pinside.

It's you who are conflating: pricing criticism and MSRP. The criticisms are obviously based on what people have paid, not MSRP. Stern changed the pricing structure which affected what people pay.

But you're insisting pricing criticism has to be based on MSRP. OK, enjoy your conflated non-sequitur. You could also say,

"Stern pricing criticism isn't justified based on the price of tea in China"

    and argue that you're right!

This is tedious, next time I just use the down vote button, let me go do that now, ha...
