Went over to look at this guys Stern PotC, that he said wasn't doing anything. He was right, powered it up, nothing. No lights, no sound, nada. The main fuse is one of those that sits down in a hole in a junction box in the cab with it's own twist out cap, 2.5 amp SB, and it was blown. Stuck in a good one and ZAP! Blue spark and the new fuse was toasted, with the power switch OFF.
I asked the guy if he had had a power surge recently and he did say that a truck had hit a pole down the street and had knocked out power in the whole area. I didn't have time to take the lid off and look inside.
Question: is there just something fried in the metal junction box, or could the power surge have affected one or dozens of chips in the various PC boards?
