Quoted from Rico_Roughneck:Just got word today my Met Pro is shipping. I ordered it on 1/5.
I ordered mine on 1/9 so hopefully I'll hear something too.
Quoted from attitude05:I orde4ed mine on 1/9 also
I was wrong......I placed my order for one on 1/8.
Anyways...lets hope the next shipment comes to Michigan. For you, me, Gort and anyone else that lives here that has one on order. But...since I did order mine a day before you, I should get mine first. J/K
Quoted from attitude05:That's why I ended up ordering mine because I heard it was the last run. And from what I understand I should have it in my door on Thursday.
Looks like you'll beat me after all. Congrats man!
I did get an email this morning, saying mine was ready for shipment. Just haven't heard when that will be. Hopefully by next week.
Quoted from attitude05:It was worth the wait. I already ordered my color DMD from Pinball Refinery.
On a different note I was told that it was a playfield issue. Some folks are saying their machines were produced last year and have new playfields.
My playfield is dated last year. I'll have to check the month and day again to see (can't remember). So I hope I don't have a defective playfield. Anyway to tell if thats the case? Seemed strange that I had to wait 2 months and it was a playfield issue if mines dated last year. Another strange thing is when my game showed up it had alot of thick dust on top of the box...like the game was sitting for a while somewhere. Not really sure.
I know the thing plays great right out of the box besides two minor things...the left sling switch is set to close (rapid fire) and when the ball goes in the scoop during ball save it kicks another ball into play. So the right out lane switch is also set to close. (game thinks ball drained). So other that its great.
Quoted from attitude05:I meant around the magnet protector and such.
I bought mylar magnet protectors from pinball life. Little bit of wax before I put them on so they can easily be changed.
Quoted from RTS:How did you determine it's the right outlane switch?
Ball save does not require an outlane switch in order to activate. It requires a ball drain within the set time period.
It can happen from a SDTM shot too.
By starting a game and hitting pick targets to light special then one hit to sling and drop ball into mystery scoop. Then a ball would kick into play and the special would be on the display.
Looking into it more I went into switch test and found that the scoop was also making the left pop fire. Seemed like the mystery scoop should have a diode and mine did not. So it was back feeding through other switchs causing the odd behavior. Called stern to verify that a diode should be on the scoop switch and sure enough mine was missing. Stern was awesome to deal with. They have great customer service as far as I'm concerned. They were going to send me a diode and I had some on hand so I just put one in and now the game works as it should. No big deal.
