WOW....seriously wow....!
I loaded this up today on my VirtuaPin.net- and I can't get over how great it looks.
There are a lot of negative comments on Steam with people complaining there are resolution issues, menu issues etc. But for the most part I'm not seeing that (perhaps I'm lucky in my current PC config?).
Getting to play AC/DC and Star Trek is such a blast. The full collection was $20. and despite the fact I already own the other tables I bought the "season" since it was $9.99 for each AC/DC Mustang and ST anyway on their own. Mustang is currently unplayable in portrait- but I'm sure they'll fix it. Everyone has complained about that one specifically.
Very very cool. I'm really looking forward to seeing how this shapes up and what's coming next. GB is obviously the next to come, but I would love to see the new Batman game....that would be fantastic.
For now they're using the "LE" versions of the games- and I really hope they don't try to nickel and dime with pro, LE etc - costs to upgrade later on. My guess is that it will be too expensive/complicated for Farsight to make multiple variants of each machine.
With that said, there are definitely some issues- mainly with the menu. It's a hot mess. Also the 3rd flipper is broken on all of the machines in that collection (Star Trek for example). But all in all- well well worth $20 bucks- especially if you have a virtual pinball machine.
There will be bug fixes and updates I'm sure....still worth $20 bucks.
