If you want a meaningful, practical test, have someone over that has no knowledge of your varies types of glass and let them just play unaware and if they don't take notice of it without prompting then it's probably not for them. Anything else carries some investment bias.

I played at a friends house for an hour and never noticed that one of his machines had Invisiglass, so it is definitely not all things for all people.

    Quoted from DCFAN:

I have literally reached down to do something on the playfield and hit the glass thinking the glass was off. I have also had non-pinball people ask if there was glass on the top and then they reach down and touch it to see/feel to confirm.

I don't doubt that, and to them the glass may be worth the expense. For me and others, not so much.

    Are these available at TPF?

I finally realized that I have an obvious issue to potentially benefit from the fancy glass. I have bright led moving head stage lighting on top of my AC/DC which intermittently causes major glare which is fairly distracting. So I pulled the trigger and picked up a sheet at TPF. It seems to do a nice job on the glass reflection, however as the photo shows the reflections from the playfield and lower playfield window are still there. Practically speaking, that glare doesn't seem to be as much of an issue as it is "underneath" the ball.

Verdict: for this application, I think the glass has a meaningful impact and justifies the expense to me (I can't say no to AC/DC anyway I don't see myself getting it for my other games, however.

What is the consensus on the proper/safest way to clean this glass?

    Quoted from TKDalumni:

This has been pretty quiet...what's the overall consensus?

Consensus is probably that there is no consensus.

My "consensus" is that it is worth having if you have a particular glare issue. For sensible ambient lighting conditions, there is not much bang for your buck.

    Enough with all the anecdotes!

Until someone performs a blinded comparison with actual instruments and controls this argument is pointless.
