    Quoted from kool1:

Never heard of him but I don't follow that closely.
I would assume he has a similar vision as Gary.

If his vision is making money then yeah it’s the same.

    Quoted from apessino:

Yup, and most of what is being suggested here does not even make sense. Streaming/DLC/subscriptions... none of it would work with pinball, other than maybe paying for some ancillary online services or for multi-game machines like a Multimorphic, and even in these cases I struggle to imagine a business model that would make them worthwhile.
All of these "predictions" are ridiculous and there have been ZERO indications of any such nonsense actually happening - all that has happened are online updates, remote diagnostic and some leaderboard/player stats, all of which is great.
    The drama is seriously silly.

Well your adding to the drama and your prediction can be seen as ridiculous also.

    Quoted from cooked71:

Given that every 2nd Stern title these days is a Disney property it’s hardly surprising.
I think the doomsday predictions are a bit much.
More likely he’s a good candidate to drag an antiquated/old school business with a huge amount of goodwill into the 21st century- just like he did with Disney.

And look what has happened to Disney. It has gone to shit. Not a good example there.

    Quoted from jcg9998:

I think it's fairly obvious the new guy was brought in to create new revenue streams. Even though pessimism abounds, ultimately this could be a good thing. If Insider Connected leads to more games 'in the wild' then all the people saying they want to play on location will get their wish. You won't have to pay 'ridiculous' prices to play a game. The idea is for the new President to make more money for the company. Any good businessperson knows that they need satisfied customers in order to accomplish this.
It might seem hard to believe at the moment, but the possibility exists that the base prices on some games could actually decrease. Stern knows that higher prices just means more competition. Lowering your prices weeds out competition.
Personally, I'd rather have more content even if I had to pay for it. More revenue streams means more content and more choices. We shouldn't presume guilt (Stern removing content from their games) before the facts are made clear. I'm sure most NIB buyers would rather pay a few hundred dollars for new content for their games and keep them fresh than not get nothing at all.

Sure pay near $9k for a premium, what’s a few hundred more for code updates that should be free. Makes sense to me :p
