Status of Code :

Game of Thrones – In case you missed it, watch a replay of the code update for Game of Thrones with lead programmer Dwight Sullivan and Jack Danger, highlighting this comprehensive update. There are many new exciting features including new house abilities, new action button abilities, updated scoring and choreography, new speech calls and much more! Black Knight – For all Black Knight owners, make sure you update your game to the latest v1.00.0 code release from last month. This exciting code update contains a new RAGE Wizard mode! This special wizard mode is started by defeating the Black Knight and begins a 6-ball multiball frenzy to a completely new Scott Ian song! The RANSOM Wizard mode has been added to the Pro model in addition to a revamped BLACK CASTLE mode across all models. This code also contains a new U-Turn extra ball rule, mode balancing, scoring improvements, bug fixes, enhancements and additional polish.

Batman ’66 – There is a new Batman update in the works.

Engineering Updates:

We continuously make improvements to our games and over the last several months, have made improvements to the Spike2 PCB games’ software, making it even easier for operation and use of our games. These improvements will benefit both operators and home game owners. Cost per play (or free play) is exhibited on the LCD display and all Spike2 games now have Persistent Settings (adjustments, audits, custom pricing, custom message, high score, and more). These settings/adjustments can be saved. They will not reset when software is updated.

You can save settings, high scores, adjustments and/or audits from one machine to reload to that machine or another machine. The Save and Load command, located in the Utility sub-menu of the Service Menu enables these functions. We have also reinstituted the use of a coin door power interlock switch, cutting playfield power when the coin door is opened. You will see many more system improvements in the future!

Status of Code:

Jurassic Park – For all Jurassic Park owners, please make sure you have updated your game to the most current code version (v1.00.0). This update features the final wizard mode: When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth! This wizard mode can only be achieved through standard gameplay and successfully escaping the penultimate wizard mode, Escape Nublar! This code still includes the Escape Nublar mini challenge game option. To activate, players will hold both flipper buttons during attract mode (with credits on the machine or free play enabled) and select “CHALLENGE”. The Escape Nublar Challenge mini game has its own dedicated high score board!

Black Knight – For all Black Knight owners, please make sure you have updated your game to the most current code version (v1.01.0). This update contains full topper incorporated code, making our custom, one-of-a-kind animatronic Black Knight toppers interact like no other topper! It also includes custom interactive speech available exclusively to machines installed with this topper. This code also features an alternative soundtrack to the gameplay experience available as an adjustment. In addition this code also contains mode balancing, scoring improvements, bug fixes, enhancements and additional polish.

This dynamic code update will bring your Iron Man pinball machine to another level. It contains a new skill shot rule in addition to a Mark Suit mini bonus feature leading to the ultimate replayability in FUN! This code also includes bug fixes, additional polish, and game enhancements.

Engineering Update:

Stern continuously looks to improve our systems and features available to our customers. Moving forward, all Stern games will include the unique system adjustment TARGET_GAME_TIME. The TARGET_GAME_TIME standard adjustment is only accessible when the BALL_SAVE_TIME adjustment is enabled. TARGET_GAME_TIME enables a multi-use ball saver, whose duration is dynamically calculated for each ball to help ensure the player has a guaranteed amount of play time per game. The TARGET_GAME_TIME adjustment has a range of 1m 30s to 3m 00s and defaults to NO_TARGET_TIME (disabled). When disabled a traditional single-use BALL_SAVE_TIME ball saver will be used for each ball in play. When TARGET_GAME_TIME is enabled the first ball of play will have a multi-use ball saver of BALL_SAVE_TIME seconds. The second ball will have a multi-use ball saver which is 25% of the (TARGET_GAME_TIME – player_game_time). The third and beyond will have a multi-use ball saver which is 50% of (TARGET_GAME_TIME – player_game_time).
