The link I posted has links to the PDF for the node board which has notes on the status lights.

Seems like communication is breaking down somewhere. Bad cable, bad connector. Not sure how the cables daisy chain, but if 8 connects to 9, could be a problem on 8, 9 or a bad cable. This is all wild ass guessing, not an expert by any means.
If it were me I'd try a different cable if you haven't already, just to see.
