Hi ,
Just bought an old Stern Nineball in good shape.
But, the seller gave me chromed legs from different sizes...

So my question is for Nineball owners.
I'm surprised because the legs are not grey ...but chromed too.(metallic), and the coin door too .
(Hum mine seems rusty )

- did it exist a serie with chromed coin door , or anyone made the replacement in the past ?
- where ca, i find grey legs for a good price in europe ou Us
- it sounds that the upper right bumper is the same model silverball mania machine - Please confirm me . Didn' find on marco site.

No played yet, i need legs
Thanks all !

First of all, great score as this game is hard to find, even in the states, since only about 2600 were made. The legs are 28.5 inch long. Mine has black legs but not sure if they are original, I don't think so. As far as I know, the coin door should be a hammertone silvery gray color. The coin bezel is a brushed chrome plated steel. They usually rust badly, especially the inside part that you can't see. Some of the Stern games of that era also had legs that match the coin door hammertone finish. Luckily the hammertone paint is available from Rustoleum. It's called hammer finish and the color is silver. They also make it in other colors. Here a Flight 2000 door that I restored with the Rustoleum. It takes a little practice to get the hammer finish to look factory. If you spray too fast, the paint will be dull. Too slow and it will pile up. I painted legs in the same fashion. Paint the inside of the legs first to get practice making the hammer finish. Also on the door are repro stickers and I had the other parts chromed. If you don't want to paint legs, order new ones from PinballLife. He has them in light or dark gray, chrome and other colors. Good prices.

Looking good! Try re-seating the ribbon cables at the sound board and mpu, this may help bring back the sound. Another tip for the coin door, I painted the plastic coin entry slots with white Krylon fusion paint. See previous pic.
