That graining is because the humidity has changed and the wood fibers have shrank.
Methinks it might be time for "Vids ultimate guide to pinball non-problems"... things people keep seeming to get upset about, but actually are very normal.

- wood grain playfields
- "imperfect" sorta bubbly inserts (see my LoTR)
