I think I'll go play my W/B machines and be glad as fuck that I don't own a Stern that falls apart I'm front of your eyes. Oh and they don't have shooter lane ware.

It amazes me that people still try to defend Stern. They have cut costs and increased prices to the point that a 9 thousand dollar game disintegrates in a few hundred games and people still make excuses for them and poney up the cash. All you gotta do is let Gary eat a couple of his shit pins and he will get his shit together.

I have news for you. Mirco PFs ghost as well. I had one of the first TZ PFs he put out and about a year later every insert on it was white. There is two types of ghosting. One is where the clear pulls off the inserts and another is where the clear over the inserts turns a milky white like on W/B game making the inserts look cloudy.

Quoted from someoneelse:

There is only one type of ghosting.
What you are talking about for old B/W PFs is not ghosting at all and has completely different reasons.

Correct, but a lot of people call it ghosting. You have heard people here say that some of the old W/B PF ghosted like the sterns are doing now but it isn't the same thing. Aside from a few games with large inserts like IJ I have never seen any older game do what Sterns are doing.

10 bucks and a beer says that they are not using primer and they are using the cheapest clear they can use. I have been saying for years that Gary Stern is the cheapest shyster ever and will screw you as hard as possible as long as you will bend over for it. People are finally seeing what I have been saying or at least some are. There are still people who cant see the forest for the trees and cant wait to bend over and take one up the pooper for the love of pinball. Pinball is fun but it doesn't mean that much to me to pay that kind of cash for a piece of shit that may not last a year. For fuck sakes, he wont even admit that there is a problem and he is still raising prices.

Just look at a red Corvette from the 90s. They are pink. The clear turned cloudy very quickly.

Well plus Austin Powers could "afford" all those toys because they saved monies by doing the artwork in crayon.

agreed

The pf art on AP just might be the worst all time. A 4 year old could do a better job. Someone had to be fired over that artwork...I mean, right?

How is it really any different than the artwork on BM66?

Quoted from Rarehero:

Only a partially blind or inebriated person would say this.

Yea your right. BM66 looks way better. I had to go take a look at it. I still don't care for it and the game is sooo boring to me. I do love everything about Aerosmith though. The PF, game play, rules, call outs are all awesome. That is a game I would buy if I had the money. Maybe when/of my business gets better.

Now, I agree to a point with what you are saying but there the problems Stern is having did not happen with W/B games so what is being done differently. I have also never seen ghosting on a restored pf except the AFM I got from you. Stern is doing something wrong and I'll bet you a beer it has something to do with them being so fucking cheap. It doesn't matter though because people will still line up to buy them and make excuses for them like a parent enabling a ill behaved child. People with more money than me. I guess I'm glad that I like me the shit W/B games because that is what I have and they will probably outlast me. Can you say that for any of the newt Stern games?

Ill ask again. Can you not buy a PF from Stern to install at a later date?

Quoted from Trekkie1978:

I think it depends.
I tried buying a GOT LE playfield, they have none for sale. They are running more only to cover playfield defects.

That really blows. I guess they don't want you just installing a new pf to make a beat game new again. They want you to spend a fortune on a new pos game.
