Thought id share this i sold my acdc kept the fire power blades would go great with any nba pin

#52 5 years ago
Quoted from mima:

yep, no drop targets (standard stand up targets), no lay-up shot to the basket (through FIRE ramp, no center shot to the basket, snd Chinese lettering through out the playfield of course.
200 Chinese where made and less than 250 international where made if I remember correctly.

Should i get the chinese version or pass on it?

For the right money I would have jumped on the train. But only you can decide that. NBA is a simple game rule wize and easy to get into. Not so deep. I have not played the chinese version. I would definitely by a Chinese if I get the chance (as I have the other). But I am inclined to say that it is not the game for a single game collection, unless it is dirt cheap.

But that's just my five cents on the matter.

I own NBA and have owned it twice now. I would pass on the Chinese version. It’s already pretty stripped down, losing additional features wound not be okay with me.

It’s a fun, novelty game. It’s not deep etc. Just a little fun variety.

Joined the Stern NBA owners club last week it is a pretty exclusive group. The game is very unique, simple to understand for all players and surprisingly fun. We are excited to have added it to our collection. If you ever get a chance to play a Stern NBA give it a shot it's a pretty cool game.

You can call Stern Pinball directly if you have a part number. Occasionally, they have some parts available.

Such a fun game to own. I made it to NBA finals this morning. Great wizard mode which is pretty difficult to get to. Had a final score of just over 90m.

It was quite a road trip, but I'm very excited to be a part of the exclusive NBA owners group!

Very much looking forward to putting this game on location in Cambridge so players can experience such a rare and awesome machine!

After a very long hunt-years, I finally joined the club! Such a fun, underrated game. I am looking for some custom instruction cards and wondering about how a shaker feels with this title? Has anyone installed a shaker, and does anyone have some custom card files they can share?

Thanks

Congrats on joining the club! I am also curious about how a shaker feels in this game. I have one but have been hesitant to install because I feel like the shaking would disrupt how smooth it plays

Joined the club ! Actually, it's the second time I own this pin.

A question about the flippercoils :
- my printed manual says : 23-1500 left, 23-1500 right
- the manual downloaded from stern says : 23-1500 left, 23-900 right
- my pin has : 22-1080 left, 22-1080 right

Can anyone check theirs, please ?

thx

Ok thx,
Mine lost flipperpower over time, couldn't make the magnet shots anymore.
After changing the flipper bushings, problem seems gone...

Hey there, has anyone come up with a replacement for the rubber spinning disc? Our disc is super wore out, and the rubber gets everywhere on the playfield and it looks like hell!

Hello,

Could someone be so kind as to post a pic of the Solenoid table from the manual? The manuals on Stern's website are missing this info.

Thanks,

Rob

Does anybody have the full manual for this game? What is available for download on Stern's web site listed as the manual is actually only part of the manual with the parts list. There's no documentation on the switch matrix or schematics..

This has been a fun restoration project... almost finished now but here's a pic from early on.. quite a filthy game that should clean up nicely.

I saw a video on YouTube where someone had an updated sound package for the game. Anybody got any details on that?

I have been looking for years for the perfect size Kobe Bryant I could possibly add to my NBA that looked like he was about to slam dunk with the hoop. I ended up finding an old 1998 Upper Deck Super Star Kobe Bryant that had a perfect pose and fit great!

Also added some fantastic Coindropper custom cards

Need to find someone who can make more Spalding spinner replacement rubbers

Really depends on condition-is it routed or HUO? NBA is a rare game and finding a true HUO is like finding a unicorn.

but not sure every pin follow the actual crazy market !?
NBA is not really a wanted/loved game (but ok, may be/surelly more in the USA)
i remember buying mine, fresh HUO, for 2900 euros, and hardly sold it much later 2500... these prices seems funny right now in 2022 !
