So I'm trying to figure out how to clear 5101 ram on Stern MPU-200. Anyone know how to do it?
Turn the game on.
Open the coin door.
Press the little selftest button.
The first is the Burn in Test
2nd lamp test
3rd display test
4th solenoid test
5th switch test
6th the first threshold (High Score Level)
7th the second threshold (High Score Level)
etc.....
See the manual for each step you want to see.
To reset each step, press the S33 button on the MPU board.
I know in Bally games it also works with coin chute 3 switch (coin chute closest to the lock).
That will reset the test where you are at.
Repeat for each step.
This information is taken from the Stern Galaxy manual.

This will only clear the audit ram - it won't do anything to clear anything else. Usually not an issue, but there can be with the ram used for the sound effects. The only way to clear that would be to run a clear ram rom, or pull the ram out (or the batteries). Battery pull isn't ideal because ram doesn't necessarily come back up 'clear'.
Thanks for the info guys. Getting some weird scores in the displays and some digits missing. Also game doesn’t want to start up sometimes. I’m thinking I have to clear or change the 5101 ram. Already swapped the 2 on the mpu-200 which causes the scores to change numbers and blanks different positions
