Yep, and I'll prefer to go with what "Steve says"......
That means Star Trek will be awesome....

Quoted from AkumaZeto:There is no more rotation.
Finally, that was the dumbest thing I've ever heard of...this isn't Major League Baseball where a pitcher goes every 5 days to preserve his arm for crying out loud!

Re: "no more rotation" means no breaks for anyone while they work on every game... sort of the opposite of your example?
hoping the pin will have dirty donny / pushead style artwork ! real time photos of lars and james with his cowboy hate wouldnt be as cool
Quoted from mnpinball:The Pro will see an increase in consumer price.
Well with the increase I hope they stop being cheap by using 555 sockets under and around the sling shots so we don't have the LEDs flying out all the time when not taped down.

Half the fun is seeing how many LED's you can catch on one flipper! First time I played Wolverine, it was like winning on a coin pusher machine with all the lamps that rained down on the playfield

It is sad that literally every single owner of recent Stern's agrees with this . . . just as bad on Avengers and AC/DC.

I have been operating an X-Men Magneto for a little over a week. I had a service call yesterday morning related to no balls being found at the start of a game. As it turns out, the LED from the spotlight on the right sling had fallen off into the ball trough, which prevented the balls from being loaded into the shooter lane. It was sort of a pain to remove!

I had the exact same thing happen on my magneto a couple weeks ago! It was the right spot light! It only took me a minute to figure out what was wrong, but that's funny it happened to you the exact same way! I put it back in with a little rubber cement so no more of that crap.
Got excited when i saw many new posts.
Bummer. just some bickering.
Hoping for any solid info.......
Borg just posted a link to Through The Never by Metallica on his Facebook, so I think it's pretty safe to say that anyone doubting it or hoping for another band can stay out of the Metallica threads.
I hope we get custom callouts from Hetfield!
I was already confirmed by Borg it's coming along. His team is building/jamming on the whitewoods as we speak.

Uhoh...there goes your source down to a trickle.
Quoted from smokey_789:No WHO or Elton fans here?
I think a machine for The Who would be great. Pretty charismatic group with a lot of personality. A lot of iconic images and songs to work with. Would hope that they would use all vintage images, and not repeat the bad artwork of the Stones machine.
Quoted from DCfoodfreak:I think Kiss would sell. I think Metallica will sell.
I agree. Both would sell easily.
Not that a KISS or Metallica pin would be a bad idea, but in this day and age, somebody could make a pin with a theme based on turds, ask 8-grand for it, and sell out before any type of development had even begun.
Whitewoods? I would think by now it would be finished and they are just waiting until a later date to release info. Is it still in the whitewood stage?

The problem is Star Trek may end up being a $7200.00 pin. Metallica is going to be $300.00 higher in price than Avengers LE. I'm sure Star Trek will be higher than that.
I'm going to be done with any Stern LE's if the price continues to rise
Quoted from TigerLaw:It is sad that literally every single owner of recent Stern's agrees with this . . . just as bad on Avengers and AC/DC.
Nope. Haven't had an LED pop out on X-men or Avengers. Just lucky I guess.

Yes you are #555 sockets in the slings and surrounding areas is just not a good area in a pin to go cheap on especially with supercharged slingshots. They will not pop out if they are #44 like Stern had put in those areas in the past I hope they put them in future releases as well.

Given the great work Donny did on the custom machine, I would hope he's involved. Getting really excited for more details to come out.
Speaking of Dirty Donny artwork, I figured some of you might dig this pinball backglass-inspired shirt he did for a friend's company: https://quincexv.com/store/no-life-til-leather
Custom voice work by the band will most likely happen as Metallica is usually heavily involved in any project they put the name on.

Ohhhh YEAH HAAH
When will we see pics? Before the end of April?
Quoted from mnpinball:This is gonna be one DOPE pin !!!Quite possibly surpass AC/DC.
All will be revealed soon enough.
Quoted from luvthatapex2:When will we see pics? Before the end of April?
You must be one of the PA guys in on the "bulk buy"
Press release is forthcoming very soon.
Quoted from GAP:Its looking good Pro and LE!
These machines need to be steller looking. Many seem disappointed with the title, that always happens but Metallica is somewhat polarizing...more so than Avengers, acdc, trs or the other recent titles.
I'm a huge Borg fan so I'm hoping the game is a home run.
I can't wait for the official announcement so we can all stop gabbing on about what should be included and then start complaining about what was left out, "the Artwork Sucks" "Where's Cliff", "Why would Stern do this or that"
Don't get me wrong if it looks good and plays good I'm in for an LE of some type.
