I need help please on my Metallica (Pro) machine. I found this connector (see pic) disconnected with the tab broke off and assumed it came apart. It's in the upper top right of playfield. I plugged it back together and attempted to start a game and it wouldn't load a ball. I restarted the machine and I am getting three faint clicks from the snake. I can start a game but it's not playable. Also after opening the coin door and closing it it still says the voltage is locked out even when the door is closed. Thanks

Ok I found F10 blown and replaced it. That restored gameplay and all is working now. I am still curious if anyone knows what that connector is for and why it's unplugged. Thanks

The manual shows VIO/GRN and VIO/BLU are power for the back box flashers.

Thanks for the reply. You're right my backbox flashers are not working. Is it coincidence that it knocked out F10 when I plugged that back together or is the flashers in that circuit?

I’ll check the manual later to see what that fuse is for.

If I had to guess, since you had coil issues when the fuse blew, it is related to those flashers. I would bet one of the backbox flashers is shorted and when you plug that in it blows the fuse.

Id start by looking at the flashers to see if there’s any obvious connections touching. Then check continuity between each violet wire and the orange wire at the connector.

Ok thanks I will get my manual out and try following along with you and check the flashers this evening.

Thanks chubtoad for pointing me in the right direction. I found two LED bulbs broken and one socket that fell apart with loose wires
