Steve Ritchie vs. Eric Meunier? I'll take Eric, sight unseen.
if Zep is a retheme, then even more reason to go Eric here. Ritchie is no longer a prime designer. his games are uninspired at best. Elwin is the best at Stern IMO.
the Zep market demand will be strong regardless. Perfect demographic for stern. Band Loyalty is a real thing of course.

you make a very good point. I agree that SR is a rainmaker in pinball, historically speaking. I just don't see the inspiration from him in the present day as the games have changed, technology has changed, and people demand more from the games they pay 6000 bucks for. SR is about over the hill at this point IMO. I just look at his games and see the same type of experience over and over
SR's best game is Star Trek, and ACDC is pretty rad. BKSOR is good, but not necessarily great like those games, and star wars is kind of a bummer designed PF.

So, I'm thinking the debate may be over for alot of reasons. If I were an operator, I'd put LZ on location, and rake in the dough. as a home collector, I'm going with GNR. Both bands are appealing to me, so that's a wash. but the PF design and art on LZ leave much to be desired IMO. GNR has a much more interesting and lasting layout and way better art. k
