Zeppelin is the best music!
GnR best pin!
Quoted from Bwilson:GnR kind of set the bar now... using real footage from concerts etc.
No it didn't. Maiden did. That's what I would prefer, Don't need to feel like I'm at the concert that's not the point of a music pin to me. Its a good back drop for and OG design and modes. I want the studio versions and Sterns speed.
Quoted from TheLaw:Real concert footage is the fucking death of anything involving art. HORRIBLE
Amen. I'll take the cartoon art on Aerosmith over having to see nasty sweaty looking Steven Tyler any day. Same would go pretty much any of these aging rock bands. Also for a pinball machine soundtrack: Studio >> Live
I am no fan of the band Iron Maiden, but that game set the bar for graphics on a music pin. Looking forward to seeing how they go with LZ.
Quoted from John_I:I am no fan of the band Iron Maiden....
God whom is, Fucking awfull.
BUT, a perfectly done machine you didn't even care.
Quoted from iceman44:Get Elton John to do a Slash. Shit he is the original “Pinball Wizard”
There you go JJP
Have Slash call Elton!
HUGE
Isn’t The Who the original pinball wizard? Elton covered it.
Quoted from Trogdor:Isn’t The Who the original pinball wizard? Elton covered it.
Elton John sang the song in the movie and played a pinball keyboard.
Quoted from TheLaw:God whom is, Fucking awfull.
BUT, a perfectly done machine you didn't even care.
Perfect Really first time I stepped up and played it my first ball 5minutes long by the time I was done I had extra balls and walked away bored!
Quoted from romulusx:walked away bored!
And yet Wonka gets the blood pumping, speaks volumes.
I get not liking Maiden as a band although the first 5 albums were great but u know we all get old there's no shame in that, however to find the pin boring is just plain ridiculous.
Quoted from Hazoff:And yet Wonka gets the blood pumping, speaks volumes.

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!And yeah Wonka kicks ass with a lot of depth and smooth as shit.Go to the Wonka forums and see what owners have to say about it.I’m aware how popular IM is but man that music and stripped down playfield to each his own man
Quoted from romulusx:but man that music and stripped down playfield to each his own man
Stripped down PF? never heard that before.
The music. A Zeppelin fan doesn't like this. Interesting.
If you were alive at that time and just went out and bought that first Led Zeppelin album at the record store and brought it home and played it , it would have been the equivalent of seeing a UFO landing as you have never heard something so ahead of its time , Blew your socks off
Quoted from PinFever:If you were alive at that time and just went out and bought that first Led Zeppelin album at the record store and brought it home and played it , it would have been the equivalent of seeing a UFO landing as you have never heard something so ahead of its time , Blew your socks off
Hell yes man they changed everything!
Quoted from Hazoff:Stripped down PF? never heard that before.

I don’t get it but I do get Led Zeppelin and I hope Stern does them justice
Quoted from John_I:Elton John sang the song in the movie and played a pinball keyboard.
Yes, I always found it interesting that in the competition to see who would be "The Bally Table King", they were both playing Gottliebs.
I listened to Led Zep for about 3 hours during a long drive yesterday, half-hoping that hearing that much LZ would kill my desire for the pin. Instead, I’m more psyched than ever. If the art is good I’m in trouble.
Quoted from Hazoff:Stripped down PF? never heard that before.
That's either a troll post or someone that's never looked at an IMDN .
Quoted from TheLaw:That's either a troll post or someone that's never looked at an IMDN .
I love Maiden. Only game I bought at a show and completely unexpected. It's fast and fun as hell. But that Playfield is not packed. The Premium/LE doesn't add much, even. Look at the amount of shots in Elwin's other games. But convince me otherwise. I'm game.
Quoted from TheLaw:I guess 4 flippers, drops, & spinners don't cut it anymore.
Pretty neat on Radical!, but that is a theme that doesn't annoy me.
Quoted from TheLaw:That's either a troll post or someone that's never looked at an IMDN .
No he doesn't go into Stern threads and bash or bring up Stern in JJP threads either. Its just the Stern army apparently that does that.
Not a fan of Iron Maiden and grew up in the 70’s and 80’s. But I loved the IM pin. If I was a bigger fan of IM the pin would be in my living room.
Big Zeppelin fan since I was a kid, but have reservations on it. Maiden albums have killer art work that translates perfectly to a pin and anything else, Zeppelin’s art work not so much and kinda bland.
Worried if Zeppelins music is hard enough for a pin? I know they are not soft rock and do have some great songs like Rock n Roll, Black Dog, and Misty Mountain Hop that rock, but are they are enough to get the heart pumping playing a pin?
Would love to see a Motley Crue pin or a 80’s metal band compilation pin with Twisted Sister, Accept, Sabbath, Slayer, Quiet Riot, Crue, Anthrax, Motörhead, ect. Licensing nightmare but one can dream.

You grew up in the 70s, yet you lump Sabbath into the '80s metal band compilation' idea? C'mon man!
Zeppelin wished they could write music and lyrics like Tony and Geezer did.
Quoted from TheLaw:I guess 4 flippers, drops, & spinners don't cut it anymore.
But where is the INNOVATION!?
Quoted from Hazoff:Stripped down PF? never heard that before.
The music. A Zeppelin fan doesn't like this. Interesting.
Zeppelin is the 'safe zone' of hard rock and Maiden is too 'hair metal' for some.
Quoted from Hazoff:And yet Wonka gets the blood pumping, speaks volumes.

I've owned both....IMDN LE and WW LE.....sold my IMDN in a month, and my WW is still in the game room.....to each their own...IMDN is fun, WW is fun....to each their own....

typical fan boy response. Many bands started in the 70’s and carried over into the 80’s and Sabbath is a band that did and I like some of their music. But Sabbath wishes they had Zeppelin’s success especially after Ozzy left them. Zeppelin is still popular even though they broke up in the 80’s after Bonham died and they still are making money and apparently more money to be made since they are making a Zep pin and not a Sabbath one.
Regardless who is the better song writer, Zeppelin will always be above Sabbath too many people. Led Zeppelin far outsells Black Sabbath, and almost any other band in history, with 200 million records sold worldwide. ... Black Sabbath, in comparison, has sold 80 million records worldwide, throughout their 49 year career. Not bad for a band who apparently sucks at writing music and we’re together from only 1968 to 1980..
Quoted from chuckwurt:If Zepp is even close to the experience that GNR is, it’s going to be tough to pass up.
We all know from an asset perspective Stern's Zepp will be 1 and JJP's GNR was an 11 (probably never be repeated)....Stern will cheap out on on acquiring the assets...the game will have 8-10 songs, and Sterns typical cartoony animations.....does that mean it won't be a fun game....NO...it could be kick ass, but don't expect a bunch of assets....it is what it is
Quoted from BallyKISS1978:Many bands started in the 70’s and carried over into the 80’s and Sabbath is a band that did and I like some of their music.
Both Zep and Sabbath are bands from the 60s. Like flower power and shit like that.

Saying it would be a 1 definitely shows your bias against Stern. But your points are valid though. Outside of all the flash and great light show is GnR really an 11? So it’s better than perfect? You set he bar very low for Stern and really high for JJP. I am not a fan of live music video's dubbed with studio tracks. Not a fan of 27” monitor screen size or the short plunge. Call outs seemed forced and like they didn’t want to be there to me and just read the line.
All the lights in the world won’t make up for a game if it’s a good or ok shooter once the initial wow factor wares off if your looking to buy vs just dropping in a few quarters in.
I am waiting for more SE videos and impressions to come because I can’t justify spending near $10k for a pin, especially not even playing one. SE looks like a decent more affordable price, but $7k is still a lot of money.
Like I have said I am a big Zeppelin fan but I have my concerns and will have to play one before I spend the money no matter how good or bad people say it is.
Quoted from o-din:Both Zep and Sabbath are bands from the 60s. Like flower power and shit like that.
Apparently you really haven’t listened to either band. They are not the mommas and the papas and far from flower power.
Quoted from BallyKISS1978:Apparently you really haven’t listened to either band. They are not the mommas and the papas and far from flower power.
Apparently I haven't although I saw both bands live, Mr. Sabbath started out in the 70s.
No! They started out in 1968 when flower power was big.
But, who am I to try to correct an expert like yourself.

The assets aren’t what I like about GNR. Haha

Typical fan boy response? Get your facts straight before you ramble on in your posts.
I can tell you're just an old radio-hit simpleton and music doesnt mean anything to you, when you bring up things like 'most people' and 'made the most money.' GTFO.

It's what happens when 80s kids suddenly become experts on the 60s and 70s.

You mean, they didn't have this hanging on their bedroom wall like we did?

I used to have this one on the wall as a kid. Had to find the image of it in google. It was one of my favorite posters.
I have the Sabbath one still, that one survived, but that doesnt really matter because 'most people' and 'less money' blah blah blah or something like that.

We could go on and on about the posters we used to have, but it would probably start boring these kids.
This dove was kind of a quintessential back then, but one of my favorites was this Michael Schenker.

That scene helped a lot.

If they didn't they should have. Its a better than any Zeppelin tune.
