Quoted from Hayfarmer:I wouldn't call lz average , its better than I anticipated. Gnr looks great tho.
I Love Led Zeppelin and the game looks as though it will be fun , but GNR is just over the top .

Quoted from thechakapakuni:Did you get yours? CE?
Not yet Chaka, thanks for asking brother... my distributor told me in December that it should be here in Canada at the end of February.
I hope that you get your beautiful Guns N’ Roses LE soon Chaka ☝️ ☝️
Thanks! Sounds like yours is on the way. Post a pic when it arrives. I’m patient (and why I waited) so I’m expecting June. If it comes sooner even better but I have a lot to do around here before then so I’m cool with the wait. Also production issues will hopefully all be resolved by then

That’s truly a good point, I thought about that too with mine
Quoted from Stevemoerke:Led Zeppelin LE is an awesome machine!
I’m giving this a whirl tomorrow
Quoted from ctswhole:Spent the day setting up Led Zepplin and GNR. Both are great games but I can’t stop playing GNR the game is over the top!

This says it all. I do want to play LZ but I know what you mean. GNR keeps you coming back. Like I said back in Oct, game of the year.
I have not been lucky enough to play a GNR sadly. First off I am a huge LZ fan. My wife and I got to play a LZ pro on Thursday. I kept my final opinion till I played one. Was not a fan of the art work but in person I definitely like the playfield much more in person. Only gripe I have are the sling shots. Not at all horrible, but they should have put the hermit or something else there.
I really liked the cabinet art in person on the pro. I definitely prefer it to the premium as of now. Sucks that the art blades and lights are not on the pro. The removable slots on the sides and plain black definitely not all that great looking next to the playfield art.
The music unfortunately was not turned up all that loud at all so can’t really give an opinion on the quality of the tracks. The sound effects when you hit the targets and all really sounded awesome and I loved it. Definitely a surprise for me in person.
Didn’t really get to see the animations while playing and same when my wife was. I was watching her play. I did like the song select screen like a jukebox. The call outs were good but not great. Bland British accent call outs but I watch a lot of BBC so not horrible and I still liked it.
On the pro, the 3rd flipper kinda seems useless to me. Really didn’t add much to the game for me. Sucks the ramp on the premium was removed. Should have been on the pro also.
I had a fair amount of SDTM when launching the ball with the button on the lockdown bar. Had a few also when the ball didn’t have enough power to go up the middle ramp.
It definitely played smooth, not as smooth as butter like EHOH though. The open playfield did not bother me at all like my initial impressions. I loved the flow of the game and the SR openness I worried about was no longer an issue for me, and I have BKSOR premium and I love it.
I didn’t get many long ball playing times unfortunately and that sucks when it’s a buck a game. But first time playing it and I am far from a pro and didn’t have my aim dialed in since I only played it 6 times.
Hitting Icarus was not all that satisfying for me but liked the sound effect when you hit it. Also wish the zeppelin was a physical lock instead of a virtual one, but hitting the ramp to get it was still fun to hit, but not as fun as locking it in the catapult on BKSOR.
At this point I am definitely leaning more to getting LZ, but still not leaning towards NIB and not sure if premium is worth the extra cost since I didn’t get to play one and I prefer the artwork on the pro. And will wait and see what stern does for the EM spinner issue.
I really wanted to love this pin, but at this point I really like it. Not sure if I would have had some buyers remorse TBH if I bought NIB. Possibly some if I am to be honest because I had higher expectations prior to reveal.
I will most likely pick one up used at some point. But for now my deposit for EHOH is going nowhere unless Stern cancels or Godzilla is announced and blows me away.
Just my opinion and for me I give LZ a 7/10 at this point. Not perfect, but pretty good.

Looks like they rotated some games at the Bat. I may have to visit tonight...
I’m fortunate to have them both .I couldn’t pick between the two because they’re polar opposites .LZ has that constant flow where I have to keep a deodorant stick nearby when in a session .GnR has that reading a book feel where my mind is trying to steer the story to what I want next .Both money shots are right there ,staring at me ,taunting me ,intimidating me to the point I need to gather myself by taking a deep breathe before letting it loose. The right ramp is pivitol to progress .The scoop is the culmination hard work .They’ll always be winners to me .
I forgot about this thread .
But in the meantime I've been able to play Led Zeppelin and I've received my GNR .
There is no competition , in my opinion GNR is by far the better game .
I Love Led Zeppelin and have so many of their CDs , I do not own a single copy of a GNR record .
With LZ you pick a song and it just plays , even if you drain and the next person plays , it's still going , it's not like you have to earn it .
BUT if I had the money and the room I would like it in my line up .
GNR is on another level , you can tell they spared no effort to make it as good as possible .
With Slash going to jjp to get the game made and giving them every asset possible , along with Eric's design and Keith's rules , this game is like the band's tour , once in a lifetime
So ….I have room for just one of these any thoughts since both of these pins have been around for a few years now.
My $.02
I still enjoy LZ and all my pinhead friends that come over and play it have a blast and can’t understand all the hate it received.
Meanwhile GnR personally bores me to tears, and anytime I go over to a friends house who has one we play everything but it.

I am the exact opposite of this. I love GNR and I don't think the experience is replicated in any other pinball machine. GNR is definitely a game you need to learn the rules and know how to play though, there is a lot to it. On the other hand, LZ to me is so repetitive and boring I have literally stopped trying many times during games because I just wanted it to end. Even in the launch party for LZ here which I won, I just gave up on ball 3 because I was so tired of playing it. LZ Pro for me is a generic, barren repetitive snooze fest. The Prem/LE is a little better with the elevator and ramp (which should have been there on the Pro) but not enough to make it a good game or make me want to buy one. IMHO LZ was a huge missed opportunity for Stern similar to other big licenses they have had like Indiana Jones, not to mention the final nail in the coffin that pushed Steve Ritchie out the door. For the price you can get a GNRLE for nowadays, it would be a no-brainer decision for me.
If you like the music of both bands, LZ.
GnR will stay popular for longer since they are still playing, maybe it will resell better. But the sounds are off, the quality is not great, and the constant multi balls. It is a beautiful looking machine- just not fun for me.
Quoted from Jimmyd044:So ….I have room for just one of these any thoughts since both of these pins have been around for a few years now.
Find a local place(s) and go play both numerous times….
Then pick the one you like!
This exactly.
Quoted from LesManley:I love GNR and I don't think the experience is replicated in any other pinball machine.
GNR isn’t a play a bunch of times and get it kinda game. It’s a game you have to learn throughly and understand. Which makes it great to own, not so great for when buddies are around.
If you’re looking for a crowd pleaser, GNR probably isn’t your game.
Quoted from nocreditdot:I have played a GNR a bunch at someone’s place.

Respectfully disagree. Had a bunch of non pin heads over and GNR was a huge hit. No one knew the rules.
As for LZ vs GNR? It’s a personal choice.
I picked GNR and don’t want LZ.
My buddy picked LZ and doesn’t want GNR.
2 totally different machines. I like them both but prefer Zep. GNR just doesnt shoot well and then all of a sudden there are multi balls everywhere. GNR doesnt play like a tradition pin. For non experienced pin players GNR is fun since they have no idea what they are doing but they get multi balls all the time.
