He is in about 5 bands this is his metal band the mic needs to be turned up but the guitar is there. Nice solo about half way in.

Quoted from pinmister:

I would not say the music of the 90's has no soul, I would just say things have changed considerably and the music of today is more segmented with different music genres. There are very few bands today with mass appeal that can sell out stadiums. A few artist are able to still pull it off like Garth Brooks and The Rolling Stones but other artist struggle to capture the mass appeal that some of these legendary rock bands once had. So much competition nowadays with Rap/ R & B, New Age, Alternative rock, etc. In the 90's I turned to jam bands to get my guitar solo fix and it just was not the same having jam songs that can last 20 minutes or longer. I started to feel like I needed to be intoxicated to keep my attention span and keep bobbing my head with enjoyment. While I will not say the music of the 90's is garbage, I will say the music of today pales in comparison to some of the legendary musicians and bands of the past.
Current list of today's top 10 guitarist (Meh-no comparison)....
https://www.thetoptens.com/top-current-guitarists/

Slash and Kirk very low on that list. Yeah very MEH!

Yes, bands like Muse and others in their genre sometimes require much larger venues.

Not bad but it is no Maiden 300,000 in 1985. Muse top crowd was about 150,000 so thats up there for sure.

#105 4 years ago

Very interested in both. I'm a big GnR fan, so I'm more excited for that, I like Zeppelin a lot and would probably get that as well.

#106 4 years ago
Quoted from pinmister:

Two juggernaut themes coming in 2020
Choose wisely[quoted image]

nobody can say at this point, because we all know theme doesn't mean squat. It's all going to come down to rules and layout and how it all comes together. So who can say at this point?

What about AC/DC? They had a 1.5 million crowd back during the Monster of Rock tour if my memory surveys me correctly.

Is this is a joke?
JJP doing Zepplin would be the best all around choice here. Depending on the gameplay and style it would be my first JJP. Now JJP doing Sabbath and it 100% becomes my first JJP.

Your first JJP lol

Muse live in Roma Wow!
Best live show I’ve ever seen tons of energy and cool tech

#110 4 years ago
Quoted from noob-a-tron:

Probably more at some of the larger festivals. Not sure how many they pack into Coachella, but that is always a huge crowd who ever plays there.

It's weird, the USA as a whole seems decades behind and won't accept the creative force coming out of England the last 20 years. And a band like Muse can fill any stadium and beyond in London, Rome, or even Rio, while former glory bands like Aerosmith that once played terribly in front of half a million people at Cal JamII in the 70s are now relegated to a Vegas hotel stint ala Elvis crooning to old ladies before he died.

I've watched that several times. Sends chills up my spine every time.

I’m all in on a Zeppelin pin whether it’s a re-theme or not. I would love if they used Stargazer with some tweaks the way they did the Beatles and Seawitch.

That had a few bands involved Metallica included i think

#114 4 years ago

What a joke.

Muse played the closing ceremony at the 2012 Olympics games in London, and NBC in the USA did not even show it. That's how out of touch musically this country has become.

#115 4 years ago

Seriously getting excited about LED ZEPP and GNR seriously pinball is in a really good place ATM i just hope it lasts.

#116 4 years ago

exactly what I’m hoping for - a re-skin. Assuming it’s Quicksilver. That is such a rare and collectible game. It also gets such rave reviews for gameplay. Parlay that with the Zeppelin theme / music and we have a winner.
One can hope anyway !

#117 4 years ago

Personally i really do not want a re-skin. I want a Stairway to Heaven LE with amazing art amazing code it needs to be a pinball from the gods just like the band. Lets say they do 12 tracks:
I would have this.
Dazed and Confused
Whole lotta love
Since ive been loving you
Battle of ever more
Stairway to heaven
When the levee breaks
The song remains the same
No Quarter
Houses of the holy
Kashmir

The last 2 i would maybe do Moby Dick Wizard mode Tribute. And You shook me and have the shaker motor going crazy!
So many songs but can not have them all. A few more from their first album i would want to include but not sure they would.

#118 4 years ago

I’m with you on those 12 songs.. those rock.
But layout is an important factor at this point. Got a chance to play Elvira recently and it seemed quite plain and uninspired.

Agreed i have not even bothered about Elvira.

#120 4 years ago

At least we have a few, dare I use the word "underground' radio stations that get it.

Our Time is Running Out sure sounded good coming out of the speakers in my Corolla coming back from the grocery store.

Totally out on a Zep or another GnR pinball machine.

#121 4 years ago

I was out on a JP2 until i played it.

I really hope both those pinballs blow you away and you get that good feeling back about those bands

#123 4 years ago

They could get the lead from Greta van Fleet to do voice overs

#124 4 years ago

Gotta have the Immigrant Song

#125 4 years ago

looks like Dylan and Sounds like Plant

Quoted from John_I:

Gotta have the Immigrant Song

Agree maybe Drop Dazed and Confused (use as wizard mode)
And include Immigrant song.

Thanks. I've always liked and respected both bands and I'll play them for sure. But my music tastes have changed and too much been there, done that, to want to own them.

It will also be easier to keep respect for them by not having these games in my house.

All good choices but need some Communication Breakdown on the list!

#128 4 years ago

I may be out, but I'll make my song list anyway

Communication Breakdown
How Many More Times
The Lemon Song
Immigrant Song
Black Dog
Stairway To Heaven
Song Remains The Same
The Ocean
Trampled Under Foot
The Rover
Achilles Last Stand
Nobody's Fault But Mine

There, that should do it.

I understand i felt the same way about Metallica but that pinball just breathed new life.

#130 4 years ago

GNR is harder to make a list but would have these 12, i cant remember what was on the data east.
Welcome to the Jungle
Nightrain
Its so easy
Mr brownstone
Paradise city
Sweet child of mine
Rocket Queen
Patience
Coma
Civil war
14 years
Dont cry

November rain (wizard mode)
One in a million (wizard mode with original lyrics but wont happen)

Metallica is what started all this. Big fan back in the 80s. Bought an LE brand new and played it for a couple months, all the while listening to my newer music. It was fun for a while, but did not fit in with my current scheme of things.

Waking up in the Lazy Boy with Seek and Destroy stuck in it's loop made me fast to get rid of it. Now I can hardly stand to listen to them at all. Would hate for that to happen again.

#132 4 years ago

Such a great game one of the best. That really sucks for that to happen.

It took me a long time to want to play one again. Almost two years. But did at a buddy's house not long ago. One game.

#134 4 years ago

I've been to quite a few shows where the old act far outclassed the new act. At Rory's show, when Myrick came on were all like nice, but glad they made it quick. Then Rory became leader of the clan and sizzled for a couple hours. Took Myrick a year or two and then he showed the opening nobody what was up. They were so tailspun that nobody would ever remember this Baby Huey and the News or whatever they were called.

Another was Sabbath and The Ramones. Ramones were either tired or seriously off, or they might have had a chance. And I didn't even go to either Stones concert where Prince and GnR didn't fare so well. GnR were more suited to clubs too.

GnR was my first pinball machine. Kept it forever until my buddy finally talked me out of it.

Short, but sweet list of songs that should all be on the new game if it ever happens. But can we get the full version of Michelle this time?

#135 4 years ago

I seen GNR in Melbourne in i think 93 not sure and they were a mess Skid row outplayed them. Then seen them again in Melbourne a couple of years ago and Damn Slash was in another world he was on fire, Angus Young came out and did whole lotta rosie with them. I think Slash has improved a lot.

#136 4 years ago

Similar thoughts going into Phoenix to see them at the racetrack with Metallica, first show with Hetfield back after injury. GnR had not left a great resume of shows since I saw them tear down Perkin's Palace in Pasadena.

Anyway, they came out after midnight, maybe closer to 1. It was very humid, and that seemed to work well for Axls voice. Super duper well. Sun was coming up when that show ended and somewhere in the middle, Slash went off on a tangent, playing Hendrix and Zep for all he was worth.

#137 4 years ago

Funny how English bands like Zep and Sabbath were promoted heavily in the US in the 1970s. Enough for Zep to do six sold out nights at the LA Forum and Madison Square Garden. Then you have the olympics in 2012, and now the only place I can see an English band like Muse is a small club like the Mayan.

This is a no brainer. Stern turns out a Kinkos printed Led Zepplin with the same layout as the last 5 pins that look all the same VS JJP GNR? Seriously?

Who from Led Zepplin plays pinball? And what theme are you going to put around them now that they are defunct? Grey haired Jimmy Page and Alzheimer’s Robert Plant? Nobody cares

Slash plays pinball and was part of the design for the Data East, which by the way is better than any Stern pooling dimplefest playfield and lame gameplay

Just close this thread. Game over.

Stern isn’t even making LED Zepplin anyway cuz they’re too busy making FleshLights and crappy projectors for Stranger Things

Oh so negative just don't buy it.

Buy what? Stern isn’t even making LED Zepplin. This thread should be if you’re gonna buy GNR or not

Why not say are you gonna buy the Spooky Queen pin vs GNR.

Spooky isn’t making Queen and Stern isn’t making LED Zepplin, so what are we comparing here?

#141 4 years ago

Then why post? If your certain no Led Zepp why bother following? Plenty of other Threads here.

Personally, I am looking forward to the first Jersey Jack game that mentions things like

murder, racism, heroin use, and prostitution.

#146 4 years ago

"Daddy works in porno, now that mommy's not around. She used to love her heroin. now she's underground..."

#147 4 years ago

This is gonna be Jersey Jack gold!

A must to have My World.

I talked to my stern guy last nite, he was thinkin dec release for zeppelin. Anyone hear otherwise?

He work for Stern or a Distributor? If he’s a distributor they often don’t know that far ahead of the sales cycle unless he knows someone deep in Stern.

I can’t even put my name on a list for a CE GnR at this point.
