Quoted from onemilemore:

So the obvious pro vs premium differences to the naked eye so far:
Cab art
Art blades with embedded lighting
Spinner mech that raises and lowers (with magnet)
Curious to see if there is anything else major, but they may have me with the lights dammit. I do wish the pro cab was on premium but there's a lot of opinions about that lol.

I'm assuming a subway and 4ball lock mech too

Congrats to the LZ fans for getting a pin!

I hope you guys love it! This is a hard pass for me, but I'll be supporting the pin by buying what someone sells to make room.

Enjoy your fun!

Positives: Steve Ritchie! New Lighting!
Negatives: Art...art...art... art...

#703 3 years ago
Quoted from Yoko2una:

Looks like the Premium has a half loop ramp for the 3rd flipper shot. If you pause the Pro video, you can see the 3rd flipper shot just goes to a standup target
[quoted image]

Great catch! Honestly did not realize that little wireform wasn't on pro. Kinda seals premium for me personally.

Quoted from Psw757:

Looks similar to the Iron man mech minus the bash toy.

So completely different? Haha

Quoted from TreyBo69:

I know this is the hype thread, but I'm super disappointed with the art. Especially the playfield. The cabinet art on the pro is decent and the premium seems borderline fake. The side art is decent though. Very curious to see more of the LCD screen in action later today.

See? This is why art is subjective. I love the art, cabinet AND playfield. I'm glad they stuck to the iconic images we have in mind when we think of Zep. I was afraid of a cartoony Aerosmith approach.

#706 3 years ago

I’m out. Looks like a toy compared to G&R

#707 3 years ago

Both the pro and premium look fantastic. Pro has better art with the Zep III cover. They both look beautiful - love the playfield!

Judging by your past posts before the reveal, you were out anyway. So thanks for chiming in on a hype thread.

#709 3 years ago

The Icarus toy really makes me think of Ritchie's Elvis

Good, toys are supposed to be fun.

A more fun toy that is!

I'm fine with iconic images, but the images just seem barfed onto the playfield with little consideration for how the art elements are placed with playfield elements/inserts. And then lots a giant sunburst and some color gradients to fill in the rest.

Steve Ritchie does not seem to really care that much about what his games look like. I'd say most of his work at Stern has poor to mediocre art, except Black Knight

I think it looks fantastic !!

I'm glad I'm still in on an LE. Love the cabinet art, but I'm glad I play in the dark because the armor color is horrible with the cabinet. They couldn't have done red or orange? Ugh.

Steve Ritchie games tend to drop the ball on art.

Color of the powder coating on this????
I’d have to have it done a different color.

YIKES - LE cabinet is not good. Sideart is very cool but that armor just doesn't look right... Honestly, I think I like the Pro art best (of course LZ3 was always my favorite album).

I dig all 3 to be honest but I actually really like the band so I guess I’m biased and not looking strictly as a pinhead.

Why the pass? Great flow, Actual toys (Not GnR). Yeah its album art but its the album art. Cant say it doesn't fit the theme

I can't believe I am buying another pin, just started collecting in Aug. and am up to 4 right now. I must be getting nuts in my old age.

I started in April have 3,1 ordered ,promised younger kid his and now this !! Why did I get in this hobby oh why ?

#741 3 years ago

Why does this layout remind me of WPT ?
All ramp shots in the back with some targets on the middle playfield, popbumpers you enter only from the top, a 180degrees ramp, long metal ramps from the far back of the playfield towards the inlanes, the ball coming from behind the playfield back panel, ..

#742 3 years ago

Holy shit, you see the topper....wow

#743 3 years ago

I love the the logo they use in the LE but the way it is presented is horrible. I am not sure what it is, but it looks really tacky. That also goes for the trim.

I have a LE reserved. What to do. The pro artwork is my favorite, by far, but can I live without the other extras?

I even down voted the first picture of the LE here because I thought it was a bad joke. (so sorry to the person who posted it)

#745 3 years ago

LE has shaker motor and anti reflective glass as it should. Also the upgraded speakers and amp. The SPIKE sound system is really nice to begin with so this game will rock when connected to my sub.

That upper flipper ramp looks AWESOME. I can already feel the satisfaction that shot will bring. Can't wait... The rising spinner/magnet/lock/bash toy also looks cool. I love an open playfield like AFM and Ironman and the rising toy just helps keep the clutter down. I love the playfield and cab art on the LE. I would have chosen a different color for the powder coating, but I think it will look great in my gameroom lighting as is!!

#746 3 years ago

Never would have guessed that LE. Absolutely no point. Topper on the premium looks like the winner.
After watching gameplay, I didn’t want Immigrant song to start over- bad sign?

#747 3 years ago

So premium video says all 3 flippers can hit that center ramp, but looks like a pretty wild angle to get there from upper flipper...Hope it's reachable because I love some solid upper flipper play.

Well, I sent things to Robert Stone before and I guess I will be again
