Quoted from metallik:The font is correct; that is exactly what the original album looked like. The "Zeppelin" font didn't come til HotH
oh ok, did not know that;
Wish they had adopted this font earlier, this is a unique piece of art.

Quoted from Percula:The LE is the best of the three , but I would change the armor color. Pro would be second best .
Lol why would someone possibly downvote this comment?

First day here?
Quoted from Rezdog:Limited Edition or Black Light Edition?
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
honestly, a black light type art style would have been awesome!
Quoted from freeplay3:I really expected this on one of the heads.
[quoted image]
It’s on the Apron of LE

Yeah that was a huge miss there

Would look good on the head of the premium.
I like the look of the Pro. It stands out from all the color cartoony modern stuff. It's a retro throwback.
Of course, one of the Premium or LE models could have atleast been an art package of band members from live performances.
I had a giant Swan Song poster in my room, next to my Heather Thomas Hot Tub poster, when I was in 8th grade.
Maybe that is why I am cool with the LE package. The font on the Zep III artwork is correct.
Would have loved to see the Blue Zep I artwork over the Red. But the Premium looks pretty sweet.
Quoted from vid1900:Who still has their topper from the 70s ?[quoted image]
I forgot about those.
What did everyone expect from a 70s rock band ? The fluorescent detailed artwork that’s been on most pins recently ? I think they’re great although it would’ve been nice to leave the album covers on the back box n something else on the cabinet but when you get down to it with these games normally stacked next to each other you only see the back box anyway .I think it’s a refreshing classic look that takes me back to buying vinyls as a kid .Great job SR I love it more n more every time I look at it .
I have a pro on order it's a dream theme. I think that pro art is horrendous. I think the premium is lazy same image everywhere. LE might look better with a different color armor.
Quoted from m00nmuppet:Feck.....I think the blue looks utterly fantastic. Coming at it from a color-combo perspective. blue + red/yellow/orange
I agree it matches the bottom of back box I wouldn’t change a thing .I’m up to my neck in this hobby but I’ll find a way to get one just not now I’m tapped .Reguardless of the artwork this game looks like it’s going to be a blast to play .
Quoted from Kkoss24:What did everyone expect from a 70s rock band ? The fluorescent detailed artwork that’s been on most pins recently ?
I am with you on the first one, Vid...but those last two are hideous.
I too was expecting at least one model to have the old man on the backbox.
Quoted from vid1900:[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Damn, that middle one just screams Zaccaria!
Sure, anything can be art, but that premium graphic is just a washed out historical photo with a bland font. Very non-sexy. The playfield is nice. In fact, the more I look at the playfield, the more I love it.
Quoted from vid1900:[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Yep.
Quoted from Kkoss24:I like Cary Hardy but he’s poking fun at the “baby blue” powder coating and I couldn’t help but notice his shirt .
[quoted image]
Nothing wrong with the color Baby Blue - just doesn't look good on this art package, man. I mean look at what else they could have done. White seems to be the favored version so far.
Maybe I'm crazy, but I like all three. Game looks fun and I cant wait to play one. Just wish prices would come back to reality.

I think it flows with the lower back box but if you wanted to customize I’d have the legs powder coated red/orange/yellow to follow the artwork .Bottom line there’s no such thing as bad press as I’ve said before in deeproots 20k plus thread .I have to admit there was a bit of shock when I first saw these but like another pinsider said it’s like a bands sophomore album where your still thinking of the first .You have something in mind what you wanted to hear and didn’t get it but then you hear the songs a second and third time before you know it boom it takes you in .That’s where I’m at now tge more I look n watch the more I like .Look all I’m saying is give it a chance I really believe they hit LZ on the head .Not a lot of flash but they’ll rock your socks off ! The artwork takes me back and I like that !
Anyway this is where it’s at to me ! These 3 extras to a prem is where I’ll be as soon as I get myself organized I’ve been flying by the seat of my pants since bellyflopping into this hobby early this year .This isn’t PlayStation where you can buy every game for $60 n sell weeks later for $45.This is pinball !!!
Quoted from guitarded:I too was expecting at least one model to have the old man on the backbox.
I think we all did.
I would have liked if if they tried to capture the feel of a LZ concert experience. Translite could have been a stylized take on the band in concert. Would have been nice to have real concert photos, like Jimmy Page on his dual guitar.
Well, at least they will have some awesome tracks from LZ. Just set the volume loud and enjoy the audio experience..
I like the Hindenberg going down in flames on the Premium.
Quoted from Dr_Gonzo:I've got a huge zeppelin poster in my garage.
I can't believe the wife made you take it down from your bedroom.
Did she let you keep the Farrah poster?
Quoted from vid1900:I can't believe the wife made you take it down from your bedroom.

She prefers the Tawny Kitaen poster which I have no problems with
Just posted this in the large LZ thread - but as here we're only about the artwork: the LE reminds me a lot of Sterns Lectronamo :
https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=1429
Quoted from vid1900:You waited five decades for this???
reminds me of the scene in troy when paris crawls away from menelaus (during the fight (well it´s not really a fight since paris is a full blown coward)).....
Menelaus criyng out
-Is this what you left me for!
The cabinet art looks boring, lazy and uninspired. Just slap an album cover on every side. LE looks wierd with that color combo. Maybe Stern didn't get that much assets to pick from, who knows.
Quoted from BackFlipper:I have reflected on this all day. At first, I thought the art was a little less than OK. Then, I reflected on growing up in the 70's and what that felt like. The game really brought me back. The music, the clothes, skateboarding, TV and the art of that decade. I thought about Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Basquiat and Peter Max. I honestly feel that the LE really captures the early to mid 1970's feel. This is the way they would have made the game back then. It's not what most would prefer today, but they would have loved it in 1973. So, I actually prefer the LE art almost to the point of loving it. My 2 cents.
Back in the seventies we had orange tapestry and mold green sofa. It´s not really something im looking for in my gameroom.
My biggest gripe is the total lack of effort and soul.
Quoted from vid1900:I can't believe the wife made you take it down from your bedroom.
Did she let you keep the Farrah poster?
Cheryl Tiegs
Thought i would say someting positive.
The topper actually looks stylish and really nice.
Love the mini moving heads from gnr lighting up the celing.
Quoted from dirkdiggler:Not sure who Stern hired to do the art but they should have hired the guy who did rotordave's Zep
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Million dollar art package!
RD’s pin will be sought after for decades!
