Has anyone notice that the playfield on Stern LE models are more vibrant in colors than the Premium models? The shine is better also. I have three LEs and two Premiums they look different to me.

I'm pretty sure they are the same type of playfield but maybe LE playfields are more scruntaized for flaws versus premium playfields.
nope plus one. And My GOT premium Blue playfield is better than the LE / pro color golden playfields . which is direct opposite of your posting, sorry ,no help
The older LE modes used to have the designer signature under the clear coat, which I had thought meant an additional layer of clear. But the signatures are not on the playfields anymore anyway.
When you say the older LE models how old are you talking about? I just got my Aerosmith LE last week which is a 2017 model so not very old at all and it has the John Borg signature on the upper playfield. I can't say that I notice a difference in playfield colors however, I definatley can say that the mirrored backglass is a huge huge plus for the LE pins. That alone makes it worth it for me. Of course on the newest Sterns it seems as if they are not making mirrored backglass anymore even for the LEs at least as far as I know.
I believe AVATAR was the only LE pin with an "additiona"l layer of clear coat as part of the LE package.
