I'm having an intermittent problem with the doc-ock "laser" switch on my Spiderman VE. The problem is very inconsistent. It can work great for a while, then not work, etc. I checked for any obvious loose wires, to no avail. I noticed that both doc-ock and venom have a similar (identical?) laser switch. Each connects to a mini circuit board under the playfield, and these boards each have two red indicator lights on them.
On the board connected to venom (working properly), the two lights are bright red. When the switch is tripped, one light goes off completely and the other stays bright red.
On the same style board connected to doc-ock, one light is bright red and the other is a flickering dimmer red. When I trip the switch for doc-ock, the bright red light goes to dim flickering (so both lights on that board are dim flickering).
Does this seem like a problem with the board? Because the problem is intermittent, it's exceedingly frustrating to try and troubleshoot, but figured I would start by trying to figure out if the board indicator lights should be fully on or off (like on the venom board).
ETA: After more googling, looks like the board I'm referring to is the opto tranmitter/receiver board. I guess my noob is showing.
