I would replace it as there ard too many rips to make it nice. I personally have not replaced decals.
Curious: was it next to a heat source? Like a radiator?
Surprised by that level of wear by a newer game.
Yes, this is really strange. My KIZZ is the same. But none of my games bought NIB before or after KIZZ have got these issues. I really wonder what decals and glue were used?
Also the cabinet on KIZZ feels less sturdy. Like the wood is thinner.
Anyone else have the same feeling about it?
KISS had issues with the cabinet decals. Don't know what was going on at Stern around that time, but many KISS games had decals that had air pockets. In fact, a KISS without air bubbles in the decal is the true LE. LOL.

I bought my Kiss Pro NIB and there was sticky glue on the bare wood around the edges of the decals. It's almost like they applied adhesive to the wood and then applied artwork that did NOT have adhesive on the back.
Luckily all of my bubbling was minimal and near the edges so I was able to work them out. I was also able to clean off all the glue residue around the edges.
But yes, Kiss seems to have had a different decal application process than other Sterns. I too have not experienced this issue on any other Stern before or since.
To the OP, replace the decals. I contacted Stern and the decals are available. Contact your distributor for pricing.

Something about kiss cabinet decals was 'different'. You could very well be correct that the decals Stern got didn't have adhesive and they had to add adhesive it to the cabinet first. My friend had a premium that also had the sticky edges and the decal application was terrible.
